ABSTRACT All‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs) have attracted considerable attention as next‐generation energy storage systems owing to their high energy density and safety. However, their performance is critically limited by insufficient solid–solid interfacial contact and severe chemomechanical degradation, particularly for micro‐sized silicon (µSi ...

Distinct Biotypes of Visual Perception in Major Depressive Disorder
In a discover dataset (272 acute MDD patients), this work identifies a novel depression biotype characterized by impaired visual motion perception, using machine learning clustering. An independent dataset confirms the robustness of this biotype through cross‐validation and demonstrates its generalizability.

Electrides offer unique opportunities as catalyst supports for hydrogen evolution reactions. This study presents an electride‐supported Ru/Nd2ScSi2 catalyst exhibiting outstanding hydrogen evolution reaction performance and excellent stability. Anionic Ru species on the electride surface facilitate water dissociation and optimize hydrogen adsorption ...

Kinship, Incentives and Evolution [PDF]
We analyze how family ties affect incentives, with focus on the strategic interaction between two mutually altruistic siblings. The siblings exert effort to produce output under uncertainty, and they may transfer output to each other.

Tailored Catalytic Microenvironments Enable Efficient Electrochemical Ammonia Production
This study shows that Co2+ substitution in inverse spinel FeFeCoO4 constructs an integrated catalytic microenvironment for efficient nitrate‐to‐ammonia reduction. Jahn–Teller distortion activates Fe sites for *H generation, while hard–soft acid–base regulated dual‐metal sites optimize proton‐coupled electron transfer and intermediate adsorption ...

Emergency services to the rescue, or not, again [PDF]
Re-considers whether a duty of professional rescue by the emergency services might be recognised. The paper argues that the rejection of liability by the House of Lords in the cases of Van Colle v CC of Hertfordshire and Smith v CC of Sussex Police in ...

A piezocatalytic strategy enables simultaneous wastewater purification and hydrogen generation by harnessing mechanical energy. Complementary piezo‐induced charges are selectively directed toward oxidation and reduction pathways, achieving efficient pollutant degradation and continuous H2 evolution.

The study elucidates that paternal preconception stress can drive offspring hyperresponsivity of the stress system via hypomethylation of a specific DNA region in sperm. This key link is confirmed in a cohort of prospective fathers: the epigenetic alteration is associated with elevated stress hormone levels.
