Automation of an integrated micro‐scale platform for monoclonal antibody process development by incorporation of a depth filter mimic

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Integrating non‐chromatographic operations, such as low pH viral inactivation and a depth filtration mimic, into an automated micro‐scale platform enhances productivity while reducing resource and time requirements. By facilitating rapid, data‐rich experimentation, the platform offers a powerful and efficient tool for assessing and optimizing ...

Comparing the Indoor and Solar Performance of Light‐Concentrating Waveguide‐Encoded Lattice Slim Films

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
We present a non‐invasive solution to address energy losses associated with Si‐photovoltaic devices. Radially distributed waveguide‐encoded lattices (RDWELs) serve as a light‐collecting coating on the PV cell. The radial array of cylindrical waveguides in the RDWELs enables seamless, panoramic (= 74.5°) light collection, resulting in relative ...

Modulating Metal–Oxygen Bond Energy by Valence State Engineering in 2D High Entropy Oxides for Enhanced Water Electrolysis

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The competitive redox equilibrium among different elements in 2D HEO is regulated through temperature‐controlled pyrolysis of 2D HEHO, obtaining 2D HEO with a continuously adjustable valence state of Fe, Ni, Mo, Ru, and V elements, which modulate the strength of the metal–O bond and activate the LOM‐OVSM for OER.

Synergistic Fe–Si Dual‐Site Pathway Engineering in Biomass‐Derived Carbon Matrix for High‐Performance Oxygen Reduction Reaction

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
We report a dual‐atomic Si–Fe–N–C catalyst synthesized from nitrogen‐rich pinecones and an Fe porphyrin precursor. The inherent Si and N in pinecones form a porous Si–N–C framework that stabilizes Fe atoms during pyrolysis, yielding robust Si–Fe dual sites.
