Loose Hamilton cycles in hypergraphs

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2011
We prove that any k-uniform hypergraph on n vertices with minimum degree at least n/(2(k-1))+o(n) contains a loose Hamilton cycle. The proof strategy is similar to that used by K hn and Osthus for the 3-uniform case. Though some additional difficulties arise in the k-uniform case, our argument here is considerably simplified by applying the recent ...

Endometrial Epithelial Lactate Deficiency Drives CD8+ T‐Cells Dysregulation in Unexplained Recurrent Implantation Failure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Unexplained recurrent implantation failure (RIF) represents a significant clinical challenge. Our results demonstrate that reduced lactate production in the RIF endometrium impairs the suppression of cytotoxic CD8+ T‑cells, allowing their proliferation and thereby disrupting the local immune balance essential for successful embryo implantation.

Walking to work in Canada: health benefits, socio-economic characteristics and urban-regional variations

open access: yesBMC Public Health, 2011
Background There is mounting concern over increasing rates of physical inactivity and overweight/obesity among children and adult in Canada. There is a clear link between the amount of walking a person does and his or her health.

MetalCenter‐Dependent Selectivity Divergence in MN4 Single‐Atom Catalysts for Aerobic HMF Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two single‐atom catalysts with M‐N4 configurations (FeN4 and CoN4) were developed for selective HMF oxidation. FeN4 achieves 93.9% selectivity toward FFCA via superoxide anions (O2•−), while CoN4 preferentially produces FDCA through hydroxyl radicals (•OH). DFT calculations reveal that distinct adsorption energies and charge redistribution at the metal

Customizing Tactile Sensors via Machine Learning‐Driven Inverse Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Replicating the sophisticated sense of touch in artificial systems requires tactile sensors with precisely tailored properties. However, manually navigating the complex microstructure‐property relationship results in inefficient and suboptimal designs.

The Nature of Global Income Inequality and Its Determinants [PDF]

open access: yesBusiness Ethics and Leadership
The paper examined the nature of global income inequality from 1980 to 2023 through linear and non-linear trend models. It decomposed into cycles through the Hamilton regression filter model and the H.P.

Hamilton Cycles in Infinite Cubic Graphs

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2018
Investigating a problem of B. Mohar, we show that every one-ended Hamiltonian cubic graph with end degree 3 contains a second Hamilton cycle. We also construct two examples showing that this result does not extend to give a third Hamilton cycle, nor that it extends to the two-ended case.

Interfacially Reinforced Crosslinked Binder with Structural Integrity for Stable Micro‐Sized Silicon Anodes in All‐solid‐state Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT All‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs) have attracted considerable attention as next‐generation energy storage systems owing to their high energy density and safety. However, their performance is critically limited by insufficient solid–solid interfacial contact and severe chemomechanical degradation, particularly for micro‐sized silicon (µSi ...

Distinct Biotypes of Visual Perception in Major Depressive Disorder

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In a discover dataset (272 acute MDD patients), this work identifies a novel depression biotype characterized by impaired visual motion perception, using machine learning clustering. An independent dataset confirms the robustness of this biotype through cross‐validation and demonstrates its generalizability.

Plio-Pleistocene phylogeography of the Southeast Asian Blue Panchax killifish, Aplocheilus panchax.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
The complex climatic and geological history of Southeast Asia has shaped this region's high biodiversity. In particular, sea level fluctuations associated with repeated glacial cycles during the Pleistocene both facilitated, and limited, connectivity ...
