Coulomb branch algebras via symplectic cohomology
Abstract Let (M¯,ω)$(\bar{M}, \omega)$ be a compact symplectic manifold with convex boundary and c1(TM¯)=0$c_1(T\bar{M})=0$. Suppose that (M¯,ω)$(\bar{M}, \omega)$ is equipped with a convex Hamiltonian G$G$‐action for some connected, compact Lie group G$G$.

Asynchronous Landslide Seasonality Across the United States
Abstract Mid‐range landslide outlooks can facilitate weather‐related landslide preparedness and disaster response planning, but seasonal landslide activity remains poorly quantified at continental scales. Leveraging >55,000 reported landslides from across the United States (U.S.), we used circular statistics to quantify landslide seasonality in 67 ...

Spin Defects in Hexagonal Boron Nitride as 2D Strain Sensors
We demonstrate that boron‐vacancy (VB${\rm V}_{\rm B}$) centers in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) enable quantitative strain sensing with sub‐micrometer resolution. Using this approach under continuously tunable in‐plane stress, we precisely quantify strain‐induced shifts of the E2g${\rm E}_{2{\rm g}}$ Raman mode in multilayer hBN, establishing VB${\rm ...

A Proton‐Intercalation Pathway Realizes Long‐Life Manganese‐Ion Hybrid Batteries With Layered KV3O8
This is the first study to demonstrate layered monoclinic KV3O8 as a highly stable cathode material for aqueous Mn‐based hybrid batteries, exhibiting excellent cycling stability with 88.0% capacity retention after 3600 cycles. The proton storage mechanism is systematically elucidated through comprehensive spectroscopic analyses, further supported by ...

Spectroscopy and Conformer‐Selective Photoelectron Circular Dichroism of Chiral Molecules
Photoelectron circular dichroism (PECD) is a forward–backward asymmetry in the angular distribution of the electrons emitted by a chiral molecule ionized by a circularly polarized light (CPL). Its sensitivity to conformation is studied by one‐photon or resonance‐enhanced two‐photon ionization, the latter being conformer‐selective.

Hippocampal theta power during memory retrieval predicts evidence accumulation in a mnemonic similarity task. Trial‐level MEG signals were integrated with a linear ballistic accumulator model, revealing that theta oscillations modulate decision dynamics, linking neural variability to memory‐based discrimination performance.

Training Continuously‐Coupled Reconfigurable Photonic Chips with Quantum Machine Learning
In this manuscript, we devise a machine learning approach to program the operation of integrated programmable circuits to perform a desired target unitary. The method uses a black‐box methodology and is suitable for reconfigurable continuously‐coupled waveguide arrays.

A Method For Robust Spin Relaxometry in the Presence of Imperfect State Preparation
Spin relaxometry requires efficient spin polarization for accurate parameter estimation. Present analysis techniques cannot account for imperfect state preparation. The two‐state model presented offers an accurate method of parameter estimation even in sub‐optimal polarization cases, such as in widefield imaging, where spatial variation in polarization

In‐and‐Out: Algorithmic Diffusion for Sampling Convex Bodies
ABSTRACT We present a new random walk for uniformly sampling high‐dimensional convex bodies. It achieves state‐of‐the‐art runtime complexity with stronger guarantees on the output than previously known, namely in Rényi divergence (which implies TV, 𝒲2, KL, χ2$$ {\chi}^2 $$).
