Bayesian Workflow for Minimal PBPK Models: Case Study of Dapagliflozin
ABSTRACT Numerous clinical trials (CTs) and population pharmacokinetic (PK) models have been published on dapagliflozin, an approved SGLT2 inhibitor used to treat type 2 diabetes, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. This study proposes a Bayesian workflow for the development of minimal physiologically‐based PK models (mPBPK) that integrates all ...

ABSTRACT Rationally designing an electrocatalyst to achieve stable and efficient urea oxidation reaction (UOR) is crucial but still challenging, especially for ampere‐level application. Herein, Mn and Fe dual‐doped Ni0.85Se (Mn/Fe–Ni0.85Se) catalyst is synthesized via a facile and scalable electrodeposition and followed by selenization.

ABSTRACT Solar‐blind ultraviolet (UV) photodetectors (SBPDs) play a critical role in applications including UV communication and fire warning systems. Gallium oxide (Ga2O3) has emerged as a promising material due to its wide bandgap and low cost, but suffers from high dark current and slow response speed caused by oxygen vacancy (VO) defects. This work

The Legacy of Policy Inaction in Climate‐Growth Models
ABSTRACT To better understand the structure and core mechanisms of a broad class of climate‐growth models, we study a simplified version of the dynamic integrated model of climate and the economy (DICE) through the lens of growth theory. We analytically show that this model features a continuum of saddle‐point stable steady states.

ABSTRACT The germline mutation rate μ is a fundamental evolutionary parameter, yet its plasticity in response to environmental factors, particularly temperature, remains poorly understood. While often modelled as a species‐specific constant, we tested whether μ evolves in response to local thermal regimes.

Mitigating Black Pod Disease in Cocoa Plants: An Optimal Control and Cost‐Effectiveness Analysis
ABSTRACT Black pod disease (BPD), caused by Phytophthora species, continues to pose a significant threat to cocoa production, particularly in tropical regions where cocoa farming is a major economic activity. This study develops a deterministic compartmental model to understand the transmission dynamics of BPD and evaluate the impact of multiple ...

Cooperative and Non‐Cooperative Solutions in a Dynamic Model of Forest Management
ABSTRACT This study develops a deterministic finite‐horizon bioeconomic control model linking forest biomass, biodiversity, cumulative harvesting pressure, and disturbance‐motivated expected biodiversity losses. Biodiversity is modeled as a productive state variable that feeds back into biomass growth, while cumulative harvesting pressure records the ...

High Relative Accuracy Computations With Covariance Matrices of Order Statistics
ABSTRACT In many statistical applications, numerical computations with covariance matrices need to be performed. The error made when performing such numerical computations increases with the condition number of the covariance matrix, which is related to the number of variables and the strength of the correlation between the variables. In a recent work,

Hamiltonian Cycles and Markov Chains
Mathematics of Operations Research, 1994In this paper we derive new characterizations of the Hamiltonian cycles of a directed graph, and a new LP-relaxation of the Traveling Salesman Problem. Our results are obtained via an embedding of these combinatorial optimization problems in suitably perturbed controlled Markov chains.
