Substituent effects on the solvent power of the haloolefin HCFO-1233 yd.(Z)
The solvent power of the hydrochlorofluoroolefin HCFO-1233 yd.(Z) is investigated using electron-withdrawing and electron-donating substituents on the “parent” (Z)-1-X-2,3,3-trifluoropropene, where X = NH2, OH, CH3O, CH3, F, H, Cl, COOH, CF3, CN, and NO2.

Fluidization of collisionless plasma turbulence
In a collisionless, magnetized plasma, particles may stream freely along magnetic-field lines, leading to phase "mixing" of their distribution function and consequently to smoothing out of any "compressive" fluctuations (of density, pressure, etc ...

Synthesis and Quantitative Structure–Activity Relationship of Imidazotetrazine Prodrugs with Activity Independent of O6-Methylguanine-DNA-methyltransferase, DNA Mismatch Repair and p53. [PDF]
The antitumor prodrug Temozolomide is compromised by its dependence for activity on DNA mismatch repair (MMR) and the repair of the chemosensitive DNA lesion, O6-methylguanine (O6-MeG), by O6-methylguanine-DNA-methyltransferase (EC 2.1.1.63, MGMT). Tumor

ABSTRACT Hexanuclear cyclic Gd(III) coordination compounds are promising candidates for magnetic and magnetocaloric applications, yet systematic series remain rare due to synthetic challenges. We report the synthesis and characterization of five new complexes with the general formula [Gd(H3bt)(carboxylate)]6, employing four different carboxylate ...

Determination of Hammett Pyridine 3-Aza and 4-Aza Replacement Constants by 1H NMR Studies of Amide Systems [PDF]
Values for Hammett pyridine 3-aza and 4-aza replacement constants were obtained by correlation of the amide proton chemical shifts (in DMSO) of some N-(3-pyridyl)-and N-(4-pyridyl)-dichloronicotinamides, benzamides and acetamides with those of their N ...

Monosubstituted N‐arylhydroxylamines represent a unique subclass of hydroxylamines that act as pivotal intermediates in redox transformations and as versatile platforms for further synthetic transformations. They serve as key building blocks in the synthesis of architecturally complex heterocycles and other valuable organic compounds.

Binding Constants of Substituted Benzoic Acids with Bovine Serum Albumin
Experimental data on the affinity of various substances to albumin are essential for the development of empirical models to predict plasma binding of drug candidates. Binding of 24 substituted benzoic acid anions to bovine serum albumin was studied using

Hammett Correlations in the \u3csup\u3e1\u3c/sup\u3eH NMR Spectra of Some N-Arlydihalonicotinamides [PDF]
Excellent linear correlations of amide proton chemical shifts (Snh) (in DMSO-d6 ) with Hammett substituent constants (5) for a series of 4-substituted anilides of four dihalonicotinic acid systems were observed. Dihalonicotinanilides with chlorine in the

Highly Cooperative Tetrametallic Ruthenium-μ-Oxo-μ-Hydroxo Catalyst for the Alcohol Oxidation Reaction [PDF]
The tetrametallic ruthenium-oxo-hydroxo-hydride complex {[(PCy3)(CO)RuH]4(μ4-O)(μ3-OH)(μ2-OH)} (1) was synthesized in two steps from the monomeric complex (PCy3)(CO)RuHCl (2).

Photolytic Hydrophosphination: Insights Into Catalyzed and Uncatalyzed Processes
Catalyst‐free photolytic hydrophosphination is demonstrated for vinyl arenes and activated alkenes in polar protic (alcohol) solvents. These reactions appear to be closed‐shell, affirming that even ambient light can impact a reaction—a potentially broad influence on even mundane reactions.
