A New Test for Hamming-Weight Dependencies
We describe a new statistical test for pseudorandom number generators (PRNGs). Our test can find bias induced by dependencies among the Hamming weights of the outputs of a PRNG, even for PRNGs that pass state-of-the-art tests of the same kind from the literature, and particularly for generators based on F 2

Weighted Hamming metric structures [PDF]
A weighted Hamming metric is introduced in [4] and it showed that the binary generalized Goppa code is a perfect code in some weighted Hamming metric. In this paper, we study the weight structures which admit the binary Hamming code and the extended binary Hamming code to be perfect codes in the weighted Hamming metric.

Power analysis attack resilient block cipher implementation based on 1‐of‐4 data encoding
Side‐channel attacks pose an inevitable challenge to the implementation of cryptographic algorithms, and it is important to mitigate them. This work identifies a novel data encoding technique based on 1‐of‐4 codes to resist differential power analysis ...

Isometric Hamming embeddings of weighted graphs
A mapping $α: V(G) \to V(H)$ from the vertex set of one graph $G$ to another graph $H$ is an isometric embedding if the shortest path distance between any two vertices in $G$ equals the distance between their images in $H$. Here, we consider isometric embeddings of a weighted graph $G$ into unweighted Hamming graphs, called Hamming embeddings, when $G$

Key‐dependent side‐channel cube attack on CRAFT
CRAFT is a tweakable block cipher introduced in 2019 that aims to provide strong protection against differential fault analysis. In this paper, we show that CRAFT is vulnerable to side‐channel cube attacks.

Fault Template Attack Based on Fault Probability
Template attack uses leaked information from various side channels and may break out the countermeasures embedded in the algorithm, which is considered a powerful side-channel attack method.

During the search for S-boxes resistant to Power Attacks, the S-box space has recently been divided into Hamming Weight classes, according to its theoretical resistance to these attacks using the metric variance of the confusion coefficient.

Hamming weights in irreducible cyclic codes
Irreducible cyclic codes are an interesting type of codes and have applications in space communications. They have been studied for decades and a lot of progress has been made. The objectives of this paper are to survey and extend earlier results on the weight distributions of irreducible cyclic codes, present a divisibility theorem and develop bounds ...
