Automatic Detection of Movement Inception During Hand Gesture
International Review of Automatic Control (IREACO), 2020Hand movement recognition based on ElectroMyographic signals is a crucial subject frequently addressed using feature extraction and classifiers such as neuronal networks. However, there is no model to allow automatic movement inception using superficial ElectroMyographic signals; in the present paper is presented a solution to the above problem.

Robust 3D Hand Detection for Gestures Recognition
2011The aim of this paper is to present a fast, robust and adaptive method for real-time 3D hand detection. Unlike traditional 2D approaches which are based on skin or features detection, the proposed method relies on depth information obtained from a stereoscopic video system. As a result, it provides the 3D position of both hands.

Hand Gesture Classification using sEMG Data:Combining Gesture Detection and Cross-Validation
Anais do XVI Congresso Brasileiro de Inteligência ComputacionalProsthetic hands play a vital role in the rehabilitation of upper limb amputees. Gesture recognition using surface electromyography (sEMG) data has emerged as an excellent option for controlling such prosthetic devices since one does not require invasive methods to obtain these data.

Robust Webcam-Based Hand Detection for Initialisation of Hand-Gesture Communication
2018The recognition of hand gestures is still a challenging task in real-life scenarios, especially when the hardware is restricted to a cheap optical camera. The first step in such systems is to find at least one hand that can be tracked in order to identify postures or gestures. We propose a robust and real-time method that is able to reliably detect the

Electromyography-Based Detection of Human Hand Movement Gestures
2020Electromyography (EMG) signal is considered to be one of the most significant signals for the classification of the movements of muscle and has very good applications in artificial limb control. It is very important to find out a set of minimal features from the signal which quickly classifies the movements.
