Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Multiscale feature fusion network for monocular complex hand pose estimation
Hand pose estimation based on a single RGB image has low accuracy due to the complexity of the pose, local self‐similarity of finger features, and occlusion.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Pose Estimation for Augmented Reality: A Hands-On Survey [PDF]
Augmented reality (AR) allows to seamlessly insert virtual objects in an image sequence. In order to accomplish this goal, it is important that synthetic elements are rendered and aligned in the scene in an accurate and visually acceptable way. The solution of this problem can be related to a pose estimation or, equivalently, a camera localization ...

A Soft Proposal Segmentation Network (SPS-Net) for Hand Segmentation on Depth Videos
Hand segmentation is an important prerequisite for acquiring accurate 3D hand poses on depth images, as it can significantly reduce the complicity of hand pose estimation.

A framework for automatic hand range of motion evaluation of rheumatoid arthritis patients
We propose a framework for evaluation of finger movement patterns on Rheumatoid Arthritis patients: flexion, extension, abduction and adduction. The framework uses a state-of-the-art 3D hand pose estimation method that runs in real-time, allowing users ...

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

3D Interacting Hand Pose Estimation by Hand De-occlusion and Removal
Estimating 3D interacting hand pose from a single RGB image is essential for understanding human actions. Unlike most previous works that directly predict the 3D poses of two interacting hands simultaneously, we propose to decompose the challenging interacting hand pose estimation task and estimate the pose of each hand separately.

The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.
