Embedding Gesture Prior to Joint Shape Optimization Based Real-Time 3D Hand Tracking
In this paper, we present a novel approach for 3D hand tracking in real-time from a set of depth images. In each frame, our approach initializes hand pose with learning and then jointly optimizes the hand pose and shape.

Video-based quantification of human movement frequency using pose estimation: A pilot study.
Assessment of repetitive movements (e.g., finger tapping) is a hallmark of motor examinations in several neurologic populations. These assessments are traditionally performed by a human rater via visual inspection; however, advances in computer vision ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Multiscale feature fusion network for monocular complex hand pose estimation
Hand pose estimation based on a single RGB image has low accuracy due to the complexity of the pose, local self‐similarity of finger features, and occlusion.

The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Light and Fast Hand Pose Estimation From Spatial-Decomposed Latent Heatmap
We present a light and efficient approach named Latent Fusion network for fast and accurate hand pose estimation from a single depth image. Our method innovatively decomposes 3D joint regression into 2D plane localization and 1D axis estimation from ...
