IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, 2012
This paper presents an improved hand tracking system using pixel-based hierarchical-feature AdaBoosting (PBHFA), skin color segmentation, and codebook (CB) background cancellation. The proposed PBH feature significantly reduces the training time by a factor of at least 1440 compared to the traditional Haar-like feature.

Robust RGB-D Hand Tracking Using Deep Learning Priors
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, 2018With the irruption of inexpensive depth sensor devices, hand gesture tracking has become a topic of great interest. Two main problems to face respect other tracking algorithms are the high complexity of the hand structure, which translate in a very large

Identifying Users by Their Hand Tracking Data in Augmented and Virtual Reality
International journal of human computer interactions, 2022Nowadays, Augmented and Virtual Reality devices are widely available and are often shared among users due to their high cost. Thus, distinguishing users to offer personalized experiences is essential. However, currently used explicit user authentication (

Evaluating Hand-tracking Interaction for Performing Motor-tasks in VR Learning Environments
International Workshop on Quality of Multimedia Experience, 2021The past few years has witnessed a promising surge in immersive media technologies, however, a widespread adoption is still some years away. Recently, virtual reality (VR) head-mounted displays with inside-out tracking and hand-tracking are becoming ...

Synthetic Hands Generator for RGB Hand Tracking
TENCON 2018 - 2018 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2018In this study, we addressed the challenging problem of 2D hand-pose tracking based on an RGB-only sequence by using a hand data generator. For training various deep networks on hand-pose tracking, we propose a synthetic hand generator based on an application. Our generator could be combined with a kinematic hand model to generalize well to unseen data.

Hand Tracking in 3D Space using MediaPipe and PnP Method for Intuitive Control of Virtual Globe
2021 IEEE 9th Region 10 Humanitarian Technology Conference (R10-HTC), 2021Thereis a need for new interactive techniques to engage students with academic content. One of the hardest concept students deal with is using the Atlas and maps to understand the Geography, Social Sciences, and History of the world.
