Hankel and Toeplitz operators: continuous and discrete representations
We find a relation guaranteeing that Hankel operators realized in the space of sequences $\ell^2 ({\Bbb Z}_{+}) $ and in the space of functions $L^2 ({\Bbb R}_{+}) $ are unitarily equivalent.

ABSTRACT Purpose This study investigates the effect of VAPOR water suppression and metabolite cycling on metabolite quantification and macromolecules in proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Methods Single‐voxel semi‐LASER spectra (TR/TE = 3000/28 ms) and metabolite‐nulled spectra (macromolecules) were acquired in five healthy subjects in the ...

The Hurwitz-type theorem for the regular Coulomb wave function via Hankel determinants
We derive a closed formula for the determinant of the Hankel matrix whose entries are given by sums of negative powers of the zeros of the regular Coulomb wave function.

From Distributed Noisy Data to Event‐Triggered Pinning Observer‐Based Control
ABSTRACT This paper presents an event‐triggered pinning observer‐based control of unknown large‐scale interconnected systems under false data injection attacks using distributed noisy data without any system identification step. An exogenous system is used to model the false data injection attack.

Optimal solutions to matrix-valued Nehari problems and related limit theorems
In a 1990 paper Helton and Young showed that under certain conditions the optimal solution of the Nehari problem corresponding to a finite rank Hankel operator with scalar entries can be efficiently approximated by certain functions defined in terms of ...

Multiple Hankel matrix rank minimization for audio inpainting
Sasaki et al. (2018) presented an efficient audio declipping algorithm, based on the properties of Hankel-structure matrices constructed from time-domain signal blocks. We adapt their approach to solving the audio inpainting problem, where samples are missing in the signal.

Identifying Out‐of‐Voxel Echoes in Edited MRS With Phase Cycle Inversion
ABSTRACT Purpose To identify the origin of out‐of‐voxel (OOV) signals based on the coherence transfer pathway (CTP) formalism using signal phase conferred by the acquisition phase cycling scheme. Knowing the CTP driving OOV artifacts enables optimization of crusher gradients to improve their suppression.

A weakly stable algorithm for general Toeplitz systems
We show that a fast algorithm for the QR factorization of a Toeplitz or Hankel matrix A is weakly stable in the sense that R^T.R is close to A^T.A. Thus, when the algorithm is used to solve the semi-normal equations R^T.Rx = A^Tb, we obtain a weakly ...
