Hantavirus infection.

open access: bronzeUirusu, 1996
Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) are rodent borne viral zoonosis caused by hantavirus infection. HFRS and HPS cause epidemic in Eurasia continent and North and South American continent, respectively. Various species of wild rodents play as a reservoir animal in nature.

Humoral Immunity to Hantavirus Infection. [PDF]

open access: yesmSphere, 2020
Hantaviruses are pathogens that sometimes pass from animals to humans, and they are found in parts of Europe, Asia, and North and South America. When human infection occurs, these viruses can cause kidney or lung failure, and as many as 40% of infected people die.

Hantavirus infections [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Microbiology and Infection, 2019
Over the past few decades understanding and recognition of hantavirus infection has greatly improved worldwide, but both the amplitude and the magnitude of hantavirus outbreaks have been increasing. Several novel hantaviruses with unknown pathogenic potential have been identified in a variety of insectivore hosts.

A Macaque Model for Hantavirus Infection [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Infectious Diseases, 1995
Cynomolgus macaques (Macaca fascicularis) were experimentally infected with Puumala virus (strain Hällnäs), which causes nephropathia epidemica in humans in western Europe. During the first week after intratracheal inoculation, the monkeys exhibited signs of lethargy followed by mild proteinuria and microhematuria.

Expression Profile of Human Renal Mesangial Cells Is Altered by Infection with Pathogenic Puumala Orthohantavirus

open access: yesViruses, 2022
