UGA4 and YBR062C Regulate Oxidative Stress Tolerance Under Heavy Metal Toxicity

Under heavy metal stress, global cap‐dependent translation is compromised. However, expression of URE2, a key gene involved in cellular tolerance to heavy metal toxicity, is maintained through an internal ribosome entry site (IRES)–mediated mode of translation.
