Improving the Comprehensive Modeling Framework for Energy Yield Simulations of Various Novel Photovoltaic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
This work outlines a flexible, modular modelling framework for photovoltaic (PV) systems, consisting of two pre‐processing and six simulation steps. It enables detailed analysis from the cell to the system level. Through multiple case studies, the framework demonstrates its adaptability and effectiveness for a wide range of PV applications and research

Black in Impressionism and Post‐Impressionism: Art, Color Vision, and Psychophysics

open access: yesColor Research &Application, Volume 51, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Black has engendered controversy in 19th Century color theory and in Impressionist and Post‐Impresssionist painting. The neural mechanisms of blackness perception are being revealed through contemporary psychophysics. Computed Tomography of the Nasal Cavities and Paranasal Sinuses of Cattle at Different Ages

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.
Computed tomography (CT) provides a detailed, non‐invasive evaluation of the nasal cavities and paranasal sinuses in cattle. Age‐related changes include progressive enlargement of the sinuses and increasing ossification of the nasal turbinates. These findings highlight the importance of considering age when interpreting CT images in bovine diagnostics ...

Seafloor Sediments, Morphologic Features, and Geotechnical Properties of Harrison Bay in the Alaskan Beaufort Sea

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Sediments on Arctic continental shelves are impacted by sea ice and ice‐related processes for up to 9 months per year. As a result, seabed morphology in cold regions can exhibit features such as ice scours which are absent on lower‐latitude shelves.
