Experimental Study of Mechanical Characteristics of Tunnel Support System in Hard Cataclastic Rock with High Geostress [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In hard cataclastic surrounding rock with high geostress, the rock monomer strength is high and the rock is broken, and tunnel excavation in it is apt to cause large deformation, collapsing, and breaking, causing initial support crack and even intruding ...

Relaxor Ferroelectricity Enables Enhanced Thermoelectric Performance in In2Se3‐Alloyed GeTe

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A non‐equimolar In3+/Se2− alloying strategy creates Ge vacancies in GeTe, inducing relaxor ferroelectricity that broadens the low thermal conductivity window. Simultaneously, cubic phase stabilization broadens optimal electrical transport, achieving an average zT > 1.0 over 330–625 K.

A STUDY ON THE LAW OF OVERLYING STRATA MIGRATION AND SEPARATION SPACE EVOLUTION UNDER HARD AND THICK STRATA IN UNDERGROUND COAL MINING BY SIMILAR SIMULATION [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The breaking of hard and thick key layers can easily cause dynamic disasters, such as rock burst and mine seismicity, and seriously threaten safe mining.

Experimental Study on Granite Broken by PDC Bit under High Temperature and High Pressure

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2021
As the exploration and development of oil and gas gradually advance to the deep layer, the formation temperature and pressure keep increasing. The efficiency of PDC bit breaking deep hard rock under high temperature and high pressure is reduced, and the ...

Ion Superhighways in a Hierarchical Polymer‐Ceramic Membrane Enable Rapid and Selective Lithium Extraction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible PDMS‐LATP polymer‐ceramic membrane creates lithium‐ion “superhighways” for rapid and selective extraction from complex brines. The amorphous PDMS matrix suppresses nonselective leakage and stabilizes the ceramic network, while LATP provides preferential Li+ conduction.

The Breaking Span of Thick and Hard Roof Based on the Thick Plate Theory and Strain Energy Distribution Characteristics of Coal Seam and Its Application [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In mining engineering, the thick and hard roof threatens the safe production. Based on Reissner plate theory and combined with weighted residual method, with four edges clamped as the boundary conditions, this paper deduces the theoretical formula of the

Flexomagnetic Effect in Wrinkled SrRuO3 Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The strain‐gradient‐driven flexoelectric polarization can modify the magnetic moment of a magnetic film. In this work, SrRuO3 is grown epitaxially on a water‐soluble sacrificial layer Sr3Al2O6, thereby enabling the formation of wrinkled structures. The so‐called flexomagnetic effect is then observed in a wrinkled SrRuO3 film.

Highly Stabilized Ni‐Rich Cathodes Enabled by Artificially Reversing Naturally‐Formed Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
The application of Ni‐rich cathode materials is obstructed by interfacial and structural instability. This work proposes a facile and cost‐effective Al‐based vapor‐phase surface reaction strategy on Ni‐rich cathode to maintain its structural integrity from near‐surface to bulk.
