Research on Tensile Behaviour of New Structural Material MoNiCa
This article presents the results of a set of innovative research to analyse a new structural material – steel like austempered ductile cast iron with mechanical properties similar to heat-treated steel, and with technological and exploitation ...

From Local Pseudorandom Generators to Hardness of Learning [PDF]
We prove hardness-of-learning results under a well-studied assumption on the existence of local pseudorandom generators. As we show, this assumption allows us to surpass the current state of the art, and prove hardness of various basic problems, with no hardness results to date.

Myths about new ultrahard phases: Why materials that are significantly superior to diamond in elastic moduli and hardness are impossible [PDF]
Reports published in the last 25 years on the synthesis of carbon-based materials significantly superior to diamond in hardness and elastic properties have been critically examined, and three groups of recently appearing myths have been analyzed.

Performance analysis of control allocation using data‐driven integral quadratic constraints
Abstract A new method is presented for evaluating the performance of a nonlinear control allocation system within a linear control loop. To that end, a worst‐case gain analysis problem is formulated that can be readily solved by means of well‐established methods from robustness analysis using integral quadratic constraints (IQCs).

Unifying and Strengthening Hardness for Dynamic Problems via the Online Matrix-Vector Multiplication Conjecture [PDF]
Consider the following Online Boolean Matrix-Vector Multiplication problem: We are given an n x n matrix M and will receive n column-vectors of size n, denoted by v1, ..., vn, one by one.

Creep Characterization of Inconel 718 Lattice Metamaterials Manufactured by Laser Powder Bed Fusion
Herein, the creep characteristics of additively manufactured Inconel 718 metamaterials are investigated. The creep behavior of metamaterials and the effects of microstructural defects are assessed, and the microstructure defects are accurately captured using Kachanov's creep damage model.

Insight-HXMT Detections of Hard X-ray Tails in Scorpius X-1 [PDF]
Using the observations of the high-energy (HE) detector of the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) for Scorpius X-1 in 2018, we search for hard X-ray tails in the hard X-ray spectra in ~30-200 keV. The hard X-ray tails are found throughout the Z-track on the hardness-intensity diagram and they harden and fade away from the horizontal branch (
