A Semidefinite Programming Approach for Harmonic Balance Method
The harmonic balance method is broadly employed for analyzing and predicting the periodic steady-state solution. Most of the traditional methods in the literature do not guarantee global optimality. Due to its nonconvexity, it is a complex task to find a

Harmonic Balance Method for Turbomachinery Applications [PDF]
Harmonic Balance method for non--linear, temporally--periodic incompressible flows is presented in this work. Assumption of a time periodic flow allows us to formulate 2n+1 coupled steady state problems using Fourier series expansion. By solving 2n+1 steady state problems, we obtain a flow field with transient effects.

Role of Histidine‐Containing Peptoids in Accelerating the Kinetics of Calcite Growth
Amphiphilic histidine‐containing peptoids mimic carbonic anhydrase (CA) to accelerate calcite step growth. In the presence of Zn2+, they promote the deprotonation of HCO3−, the desolvation of Ca2+, and the reorganization of interfacial hydration layers, thereby reducing the activation barrier for calcite growth.
