Quantitative perturbation theory by successive elimination of harmonics

Celestial Mechanics & Dynamical Astronomy, 1993
This paper establishes the theoretical basis for the method presented by the first author [see the previous review, ibid., 101-130 (1993)]. Two theorems are proved. The first one proves the ``almost invariantness within the limit \(T\) in time'' of tori constructed by the method. These tori fill up in the phase space an open set \(A\), say.

FIR bi notch filters as harmonics eliminators

Proceedings of the International Conference and Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology, 2010
A methodology for designing FIR bi notch filters derived from second order prototype IIR notch filters is suggested. Rejection bandwidth for the designed filter can be controlled by suitable choice of 'r', the pole radius of the IIR prototype notch filters.

Generalized Techniques of Harmonic Elimination and Voltage Control in Thyristor Inverters: Part I--Harmonic Elimination

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1973
This paper considers the theoretical problem of eliminating harmonics in inverter-output waveforms. Generalized methods are developed for eliminating a fixed number of harmonics in the half-bridge and full-bridge inverter-output waveforms, and solutions are presented for eliminating up to five harmonics.

On the successive elimination of perturbation harmonics

Celestial Mechanics & Dynamical Astronomy, 1993
The author presents a method of investigation of perturbations of an integrable Hamiltonian system of two degrees of freedom. He discusses its advantages and defaults in comparison with other applications. The main idea is based on the fact that a Hamiltonian with only one harmonic is integrable.

Current Injection Method to Eliminate Harmonics

IEEE Industry Applications Magazine, 1995
This article proposes a method to eliminate AC harmonic currents by injecting equal-but-opposite harmonic compensating currents. This method is applicable to any type of load considered a harmonic source. This article describes a system involving a hardware interface, a PC, and advanced software to measure, analyze, and report the condition of ...

Harmonic elimination for constrained optimal PWM

30th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2004. IECON 2004, 2005
The selected harmonic elimination (SHE) pulse-width modulation (PWM) inverter eliminates low-order harmonics by optimizing the distribution of switching angles and can generate high quality output waveforms. The goal of optimal SHE-PWM is to select the switching instances (angles) in such a way that a waveform with a particular characteristic is ...

A new robust scheme for harmonic elimination

Electric Power Systems Research, 1997
Abstract A new electronic scheme for harmonic elimination in low voltage level circuits is proposed. The performance of this scheme in the context of robustness to additive noise is evaluated. The scheme is based upon the cancellation of harmonics from actual signal by comparing it with the pure fundamental harmonic.
