Future work on harmonics : some expert opinions part I : wind and solar power [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A workshop on power system harmonics was organized in Stockholm in January 2014. On the agenda was among others a discussion on what are the main issues on harmonics at the moment and in the near future.

Comparison of Allowable Harmonic Emission Value Distribution Methods at the Point of Common Coupling of High Voltage System

open access: yesZhongguo dianli
With a large number of nonlinear loads connected to the power grid, the harmonic problems caused by them are becoming more and more serious. Various countries or organizations have formulated harmonic standards to constrain the harmonic emission values ...

Calculation of harmonic losses and ampacity in low-voltage power cables when used for feeding large LED lighting loads

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2014
A numerical investigation on the harmonic disturbances in low-voltage cables feeding large LED loads is reported. A frequency domain analysis on several commercially-available LEDs was performed to investigate the signature of the harmonic current ...

System harmonic impedance calculation based on partial least squares equivalent weight regression

open access: yesZhejiang dianli
To mitigate the impact of singular values in voltage and current signals on regression results and achieve a more accurate delineation of harmonic responsibilities for both the system and users, this paper proposes a method for calculating system ...

Large Scale Fluctuations in the X-Ray Background [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We present an attempt to measure the large angular scale fluctuations in the X-Ray Background (XRB) from the HEAO1-A2 data, expressed in terms of spherical harmonics.

An Anisotropic Density Turbulence Model from the Sun to 1 au Derived from Radio Observations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Solar radio bursts are strongly affected by radio-wave scattering on density inhomogeneities, changing their observed time characteristics, sizes, and positions.

Analysis of variability in the burst oscillations of the accreting millisecond pulsar XTE J1814-338 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The accreting millisecond pulsar XTE J1814-338 exhibits oscillations at the known spin frequency during Type I X-ray bursts. The properties of the burst oscillations reflect the nature of the thermal asymmetry on the stellar surface.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Lidar detection of metallic species at the mesopause level [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
The measurement alkali species present in the atomic form at the mesopause level has been performed by lidar for more than ten years. Atomic and ionic calcium density profiles are obtained for 3 years by the same technique in the visible range, at 423 nm

Optimal control theory of harmonic generation

open access: yes, 2012
Coherent control of harmonic generation was studied theoretically. A specific harmonic order was targeted. An optimal control theory was employed to find the driving field where restrictions were imposed on the frequency band.
