Parametric excitation of a cavity field mode coupled to a harmonic oscillator detector
Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2013We study the parametric resonance in a system of two coupled quantum harmonic oscillators when the frequency of one of them (describing the field mode) is modulated at exactly twice the unperturbed eigenfrequency (the case of ‘unshifted resonance’).

Stray-field loss and flux distribution inside magnetic steel plate under harmonic excitation
Purpose This paper aims to investigate an efficient approach to model the electromagnetic behaviors and predict stray-field loss inside the magnetic steel plate under 3D harmonic magnetization conditions so as to effectively prevent the structural ...

The theory of the harmonically resonant cavity with a self-excited multiple frequency field
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1991Abstract Usually a harmonically resonant cavity is excited by two different wavelength microwave power sources [C.E. Hess, H.A. Schwettman and T.I. Smith, IEEE Trans. Nucl. Sci. NS-32 (1985) 2924]. According to the theory of interaction of the beam with the cavity [P.B. Wilson, AIP Conf. Proc. no.

Brushless wound rotor synchronous machine with third-harmonic field excitation
Electrical Engineering, 2019This manuscript discusses a novel harmonic current excitation technique for a wound rotor synchronous machine based on control of the time harmonic magneto-motive force (MMF) for brushless operation. Two inverters are used to feed the armature winding in such a way that at a time, one inverter supplies the current to armature winding. The two inverters

Analysis of Air-Gap Field Modulation in Parallel-Hybrid-Excited Harmonic-Shift Machines
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2021In this article, the parallel-hybrid-excited harmonic-shift machine (PHE-HSM) is analyzed from the perspective of the field-modulation effect based on the air-gap field harmonics. By shifting the pole-pairs of the dc-field windings from those of the permanent magnets (PMs), the parallel-hybrid excitation can be realized due to field modulation.

Discrete Excitation Spectrum of a Classical Harmonic Oscillator in Zero-Point Radiation
We report that upon excitation by a single pulse, a classical harmonic oscillator immersed in the classical electromagnetic zero-point radiation exhibits a discrete harmonic spectrum in agreement with that of its quantum counterpart.

Second Harmonic Excitation of Acetylene by the Optical Near Field Generated in a Porous Material
The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2017We perform first-principles calculations of the photoexcitation dynamics of an acetylene molecule in a metal organic framework, IRMOF-10. Resonant laser excitation of the IRMOF-10 generates an optical near field (ONF) around the two benzene rings that comprise the main framework of the IRMOF-10.

This paper describes a novel self-excitation technique in which space harmonics and carrier harmonic is effectively utilized for the field magnetization instead of permanent magnets. The unique point of this technique are the following points. The second-order space harmonic that is structurally unavoidably generated in the motor with concentrated ...
