A gear pump based on harmonic gear drive

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2013
Aimed at solving the problems of radial fluid pressure imbalance, bigger flow ripple and shorter service life that exists in traditional gear pumps, a new type of gear pump based on the principle of harmonic gear drive is put forth, where the function for pumping fluid is achieved by mutual engagement between flexible gear and rigid gear.

Friction compensation of harmonic gear based on location relationship

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, 2016
In the harmonic gear servo system, friction is associated with not only the velocity of the input shaft but also its angle position. Traditional friction compensation based on the velocity cannot guarantee the high motion accuracy. To address this problem, this article proposed a new friction model of harmonic gear servo system, which is related to ...

An innovative design on mixed harmonic gear mechanism

International Journal of Materials and Structural Integrity, 2009
A new type of mixed mechanism (EGM) is presented in this paper. This design is an attractive alternative to new transmitting movement and power for some special demand. This new kind of mechanism is a combinatorial-embedded structure by using some gears and harmonic gear mechanism.

Modeling a harmonic drive gear transmission

[1993] Proceedings IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002
In order to capture the dynamic behavior of harmonic drives, dynamic models must include accurate representations of transmission friction, compliance, and kinematic error. Experimental observations are used to guide the development of a model to describe harmonic-drive operation.

A Novel Magnetic Harmonic Gear

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2007
Magnetic gears offer several advantages compared to mechanical gears in terms of reduced maintenance, improved reliability, and inherent overload protection while having a high efficiency. This paper describes the principle of operation of a novel form of magnetic gear, which is particularly suited to applications for which a high gear ratio is ...

A harmonic gear like motor

2009 IEEE International Electric Machines and Drives Conference, 2009
The harmonic gear is among the more interesting mechanical devices for amplifying torque. This gear has zero backlash with high gear ratios. The number of teeth on the rotor is typically two less than that on the stator. An electromechanical motor equivalent to this device is discussed and analyzed.
