DFT-based frequency estimation under harmonic interference
2010 4th International Symposium on Communications, Control and Signal Processing (ISCCSP), 2010In this paper we address the accurate estimation of the frequency of sinusoids of natural signals such as singing, voice or music. These signals are intrinsicly harmonic and are normally contaminated by noise. Taking the Cramer-Rao Lower Bound for unbiased frequency estimators as a reference, we compare the performance of several DFT-based frequency ...

RF Harmonic Interference on Television Channel
IETE Journal of Research, 1970The television receiver is confronted with three types of interference, viz. reflections, signal interference and impulse noise. This paper deals with the suppression of the harmonic signal interference radiated from a group of high power short wave transmitters and the experimentation of a successful method in which the interfering signal was ...

Quantum-Interference Controlled High Harmonics in Semiconductors
Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2017Theory — experiment comparison reveals how an electronic quantum interference introduces several macroscopic signatures to the high-harmonic emission in semiconductors, making it possible to shape temporal, spectral, and polarization-direction features of sources on a subcycle level.

Harmonic Interference of HVDC in Transmission Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992Abstract The HVDC-link in Durnrohr (Austria) has now nine years of operational experience as the first interconnection between the western and eastern transmission systems in Europe. At the moment two further HVDC-links are under erection, one in South-East Austria and the other in Germany.

Destructive interference of high harmonics generated in mixed gases
2007 Quantum Electronics and Laser Science Conference, 2007We demonstrate destructive interference of high harmonics generated in a He-Ne mixed gas, which offers novel methods for observing the underlying attosecond electron dynamics as well as shaping harmonic pulses and measuring harmonic phases.

Dynamic phasor and frequency estimation considering harmonic interferences
2020 24th International Conference on Information Technology (IT), 2020In this paper, we propose an algorithm that improves the dynamic synchrophasor and frequency estimation in the presence of harmonics. The proposed algorithm iteratively estimates harmonics parameters that are close to the fundamental component. The estimated parameters are used for reconstruction of the positive image of the fundamental component and ...

Harmonics and Electromagnetic Interference
2000Electrical interference is an unwanted consequence of power electronics apparatus. This issue is addressed by highlighting the main controlling factors and by developing equations that assist in quantifying the severity of the problem. Both themes are directed at power frequency harmonics: they are also applied to electromagnetic interference where, in

Destructive Interference during High Harmonic Generation in Mixed Gases
2007 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics - Pacific Rim, 2007We report on the first experimental evidence of the destructive and constructive interference of high harmonics generated in a mixed gas of He and Ne, which facilitates the coherent control of high harmonic generation. Theoretically, we develop an analytical model of high harmonic generation in mixed gases and succeed in reproducing the experimental ...

Improving AFM Images with Harmonic Interference by Spectral Analysis
Microscopy and Microanalysis, 2012AbstractAtomic force microscopy (AFM) is one of the most sensitive tools for nanoscale imaging. As such, it is very sensitive to external noise sources that can affect the quality of collected data. The intensity of the disturbance depends on the noise source and the mode of operation.

Harmonic interference removal using a fractional delay filter
Proceedings of the 43rd IEEE Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (Cat.No.CH37144), 2005Treats the harmonic interference removal where the frequency of the interference is a rational number and known in advance. In order to remove the interference from the corrupted signal without distortion we propose a structure, which uses a comb filter with a fractional delay.
