RF Harmonic Interference on Television Channel

IETE Journal of Research, 1970
The television receiver is confronted with three types of interference, viz. reflections, signal interference and impulse noise. This paper deals with the suppression of the harmonic signal interference radiated from a group of high power short wave transmitters and the experimentation of a successful method in which the interfering signal was ...

Extension of Harmonic Order by Applying the Interference of Pulses

Chinese Physics Letters, 1997
A method is suggested to extend the order of harmonic generation from gas target by applying the interference effect of two pulses of which one is delayed with odd multiples of half-period relative to the other. It means the laser-atom interaction time can be shortened and the saturation intensity of laser-atom interaction is improved so that the atom ...

Controlling Two-Center Interference in Molecular High Harmonic Generation

Physical Review Letters, 2005
We experimentally investigate the process of intramolecular quantum interference in high-order harmonic generation in impulsively aligned CO2 molecules. The recombination interference effect is clearly seen through the order dependence of the harmonic yield in an aligned sample.

Harmonics and Electromagnetic Interference

2000
Electrical interference is an unwanted consequence of power electronics apparatus. This issue is addressed by highlighting the main controlling factors and by developing equations that assist in quantifying the severity of the problem. Both themes are directed at power frequency harmonics: they are also applied to electromagnetic interference where, in

Measurements of Higher Harmonics in AC Interference on Pipelines

CORROSION 2010, 2010
Abstract Recordings of alternating current (AC) pipe to soil potential (PSP) variations have been made using fast-sample (2000 samples/sec) dataloggers. This sampling rate is fast enough to show the waveform of the AC potential variations.

Detection of a harmonic signal in a mixture with narrowband interference

2018 22nd International Microwave and Radar Conference (MIKON), 2018
A non-parametric rank algorithm is synthesized for detecting a harmonic signal with known frequency and an unknown phase in narrowband interference, where the estimation of the parameters of an autoregressive model is used. The stability of the algorithm to impulse noise is investigated.

Frequency Dependence in AC Harmonic Interference to Pipelines

CORROSION 2018, 2018
Abstract Studies of Alternating Current (AC) interference on pipelines from nearby power lines usually consider the fundamental (50Hz or 60Hz) frequency of the power line currents. However, these currents can also contain considerable harmonics of the fundamental AC frequency.

IM and harmonic interference on DCS-1800 band

1997 IEEE MTT-S Symposium on Technologies for Wireless Applications Digest, 2002
Intermodulation and harmonic interference occur because of nonlinear processes, such as the amplifier discussed in this article. It presents a serious problem between the transmitter and receiver of different cellular providers. We discuss the IM and harmonic interference on the DCS-1800 band. A simulator was also developed to do the analysis.

Wave-Interference Effects for a Forced Harmonic Oscillator

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1967
Wave-interference effects for transitions between unperturbed states of a forced harmonic oscillator are explicitly demonstrated by comparing the exact quantum-mechanical solution for this problem with a solution which assumes transitions to the different states are independent and therefore neglects wave-interference effects.
