In the present paper, we investigate the high-order harmonic generation (HHG) from diatomic molecules with large internuclear distance using a strong field approximation (SFA) model.

Transition to sub-Planck structures through the superposition of q-oscillator stationary states [PDF]
We investigate the superposition of four different quantum states based on the q-oscillator. These quantum states are expressed by means of Rogers-Szego polynomials.

Quantum path interference in the wavelength dependence of high-harmonic generation
We investigate the dependence of the intensity of radiation due to high-harmonic generation (HHG) as a function of the wavelength of the fundamental driver field. Superimposed on a smooth power-law dependence observed previously we find surprisingly strong and rapid fluctuations on a fine wavelength scale.

High Harmonic Generation Via Continuum Wave-Packet Interference [PDF]
High-order harmonic generation (HHG) is investigated theoretically in the over-the-barrier ionization (OBI) regime revealing the strong signature of interference between two separately ionized and separately propagating free wave packets of a single electron.

Reducing power line interference with the continuous automatic cab signalling channel
Introduction. Interference in the continuous automatic cab signalling channel distorts transmitted signals and causes signalling malfunctions. Reduction of interference in the channel involved a previously proposed receiver with quadrature channels and ...

Controlling high-harmonic generation and above-threshold ionization with an attosecond-pulse train [PDF]
We perform a detailed analysis of how high-order harmonic generation (HHG) and above-threshold ionization (ATI) can be controlled by a time-delayed attosecond-pulse train superposed to a strong, near-infrared laser field.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

DC-electric-field-induced and low-frequency electromodulation second-harmonic generation spectroscopy of Si(001)-SiO$_2$ interfaces [PDF]
The mechanism of DC-Electric-Field-Induced Second-Harmonic (EFISH) generation at weakly nonlinear buried Si(001)-SiO$_2$ interfaces is studied experimentally in planar Si(001)-SiO$_2$-Cr MOS structures by optical second-harmonic generation (SHG ...
