Differences of Harmonic Numbers and the abc-Conjecture
Our main source of inspiration was a talk by Hendrik Lenstra on harmonic numbers, which are numbers whose only prime factors are two or three. Gersonides proved 675 years ago that one can be written as a difference of harmonic numbers in only four ways: 2-1, 3-2, 4-3, and 9-8.

A classification of the harmonic frames up to unitary equivalence
Up to unitary equivalence, there are a finite number of tight frames of n vectors for Cd which can be obtained as the orbit of a single vector under the unitary action of an abelian group G (for nonabelian groups there may be uncountably many).

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Certain Mathematical Constants Associated with Harmonic Numbers and Higher-Dimensional Harmonic Sums
The Euler–Mascheroni constant γ, defined as the limiting difference between the harmonic numbers Hn and logn, has long been studied and appears in diverse areas of number theory, analysis, and special functions.

Wave-number-explicit bounds in time-harmonic scattering
In this paper we consider the problem of scattering of time-harmonic acoustic waves by a bounded sound soft obstacle in two and three dimensions, studying dependence on the wave number in two classical formulations of this problem.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
