Development of Harmonic Reducing Transmission for Legged Robots

2021 18th International Conference on Ubiquitous Robots (UR), 2021
Transmission mechanisms such as belts and link-ages are adopted in quadruped robots for small inertia. In addition, to obtain the high torque required for legged robots, the electric motor adopts a reduction mechanism, such as a harmonic reducer or a planetary reducer.

Harmonic reducer converter

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2002
A new strategy to accomplish low frequency regulation IEC 1000-3-2 at system level is proposed in this paper. By means of a simple power converter, connected in parallel with the loads, the harmonic currents generated by them are greatly reduced, being unnecessary to change the loads.

REDUCIBLE FRACTIONAL HARMONICS GENERATED BY THE NONAUTONOMOUS DUFFING–RAYLEIGH EQUATION: POCKETS OF REDUCIBLE HARMONICS AND ARNOLD'S TONGUES

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2000
This paper deals with bifurcation structures related to families of fractional harmonics (or ultra-subharmonics) solutions generated by the Duffing–Rayleigh equation with a nonsymmetrical periodic external force. It presents some results on fractional reducible harmonics and their bifurcations.

Reducing Supply Current Harmonics

IEEE Industry Applications Magazine, 1998
In this article, a simple and effective method for reducing the supply current harmonics has been proposed for a parallel connected 12-pulse thyristor converter with an interphase reactor. The proposed method requires only an interphase reactor with an optimal inductance value being much smaller than conventional inductance values, without any ...

Globally Injective Flattening via a Reduced Harmonic Subspace

ACM Transactions on Graphics, 2022
We present a highly efficient-and-robust method for free-boundary flattening of disk-like triangle meshes in a globally injective manner. We show that by restricting the solution to a low-dimensional subspace of harmonic maps, we can dramatically accelerate the process while obtaining a low-distortion result. The algorithm consists of two main steps. A

Harmonic Droop Controller to Reduce the Voltage Harmonics of Inverters

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2013
In this paper, the load and/or grid connected to an inverter is modeled as the combination of voltage sources and current sources at harmonic frequencies. As a result, the system can be analyzed at each individual frequency, which avoids the difficulty in defining the reactive power for a system with different frequencies because it is now defined at ...

Study on the Structure of the Flexspline of Harmonic Reducer

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
According to the flexible gears damage problem during the work process of the harmonic reducer, a FEM model of the flexible and wave generator was established. On the basis of the mechanics of materials and the finite element theory, a large number of numerical simulations by the use of the finite element software were made.
