Efficient telecom to visible wavelength conversion in doubly resonant GaP microdisks [PDF]
Resonant second harmonic generation between 1550 nm and 775 nm with outside efficiency $> 4.4\times10^{-4}\, \text{mW}^{-1}$ is demonstrated in a gallium phosphide microdisk cavity supporting high-$Q$ modes at visible ($Q \sim 10^4$) and infrared ($Q ...

From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

Resonance modal analysis-based siting strategy for passive power filters in distribution networks
We present a novel strategy for passive filter siting based on harmonic resonance modal analysis. The primary objective is to quickly design a set of filters that can reduce the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the voltage in a harmonic-polluted power ...

A New Control Strategy for Active Power Filter
The significant increase in electronic devices has resulted in serious harmonic pollutions in electricity grids. In addition, due to the resonance of the system capacitance and inductance, the harmonic current may be amplified dramatically when it goes ...

A FeN4─O/Clu@NC‐0.1Ac catalyst containing atomically‐dispersed FeN4─O sites (medium‐spin Fe2+) and Fe clusters delivered a half‐wave potential of 0.89 V for ORR and an overpotential of 330 mV at 10 mA cm−2 for OER in 0.1 m KOH. When the catalyst was used in a rechargeable Zn–air battery, a power density of 284.5 mW cm−2 was achieved with excellent ...

Single-parameter adiabatic charge pumping in carbon nanotube resonators
Single-parameter adiabatic charge pumping, induced by a nearby radio-frequency antenna, is achieved in suspended carbon nanotubes close to the mechanical resonance. The charge pumping is due to an important dynamic adjustment of the oscillating motion to

Role of Histidine‐Containing Peptoids in Accelerating the Kinetics of Calcite Growth
Amphiphilic histidine‐containing peptoids mimic carbonic anhydrase (CA) to accelerate calcite step growth. In the presence of Zn2+, they promote the deprotonation of HCO3−, the desolvation of Ca2+, and the reorganization of interfacial hydration layers, thereby reducing the activation barrier for calcite growth.
