Harmonic state estimation in a distribution generation system environment
2015 Global Conference on Communication Technologies (GCCT), 2015Harmonics degrade the power quality of Power Systems. It becomes vital to compute the harmonic generated by non linear loads present in the Power System. With renewable energy becoming the future of the power technology, a Harmonic estimation in a distributed generation environment becomes indispensable.

Harmonic distortion assessment using state estimation algorithm
2016 17th International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power (ICHQP), 2016The power distribution sector is facing high operational costs due to penalties related to poor power quality delivered to sensitive customers. In order to improve the power quality a broader assessment is needed. This paper proposes a harmonic distortion assessment method based in the state estimation technique.

Harmonic state estimation for distribution systems based on synchrophasors
2016 IEEE 16th International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering (EEEIC), 2016This paper describes a harmonic state estimation technique for unbalanced three-phase distribution systems using Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs), considering the presence of non-linear loads connected to the system. In the proposed approach, the measured phasor values are harmonic voltages and branch currents in those buses continuously monitored by ...

Time Delay Measurement Compensation in Harmonic State Estimation
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014The proliferation of power electronics equipments generates harmonics distortion problem. Harmonics have many effects to the power system grid and the main limitation of harmonics is heating of power system devices. To monitor and mitigate the harmonics, the source location and the level of harmonics should be known.

Harmonic State Estimation on a Radial Distribution System with Distributed Generation
IEEE Latin America Transactions, 2013In the present work, a state estimation technique is applied to calculate the amplitudes and phase angles of the harmonic currents injected at the buses of a power distribution system. To this effect, the model of a 50-Hz 13.2-kV 4-bus radial system is used.

Dynamic State Estimation of Power System Harmonics with Bad Data
Electric Power Components and Systems, 2005In this article, a robust extended Kalman filter (REKF) technique is proposed for dynamic harmonic state estimation. The proposed state estimator is capable of estimating the harmonic states of the power system in real time even in the presence of bad data in the measurements.

Computational enhancements to the power system state estimator at harmonic frequencies
Proceedings of the Twenty-Second Annual North American Power Symposium, 2002A study on the application of estimation theory to predict harmonic bus voltages and line currents which cannot or are not measured directly is proposed. The methodology is based on measurements, state estimators, and harmonic system modeling. A hybrid of quadratic and nonquadratic criterion-based techniques utilizing singular value decomposition is ...

Parameters estimation of inter-harmonic based on state space model
2013 5th IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation and EMC Technologies for Wireless Communications, 2013The fourth order mixed cumulants(FOMC) of damped exponential model is derived, which contains an accurate damped frequency, damped factor and other information. A method of parameter estimation using state space model based on the fourth order cumulants is proposed, which can achieve damped frequency, damped factor of the joint estimation.

Differential harmonic exponential filter for state estimation
