Compact Manifolds With Unbounded Nilpotent Fundamental Groups and Positive Ricci Curvature
ABSTRACT It follows from the work of Kapovitch and Wilking that a closed manifold with nonnegative Ricci curvature has a uniformly almost nilpotent fundamental group. Leftover questions and conjectures, have asked if in this context the fundamental group is actually uniformly almost abelian. The main goal of this work is to construct examples (Mk9,gk)$(

Harmonic measure in convex domains [PDF]
The following theorem is proved: For a given probability measure \(\mu\) on \(S^ n\) of the form \(d\mu =Rd\vartheta\) (R smooth and positive) there exists a strictly convex domain \(\Omega\) \(\subset {\mathfrak R}^{n+1}\) containing the origin, with smooth boundary, such that for each \(E\subset S^ n\) \[ \omega (g^{-1}(E))=\mu (E), \] where g is the

Curved hydrophobic mesh surfaces enable stable release of large droplets exceeding the capillary length. By tuning surface curvature, porosity, and acceleration, oscillatory breakup is suppressed, producing near‐spherical droplets ideal for high‐precision fluid applications and multiphase flow control.

Hereditary convexity for harmonic homeomorphisms [PDF]
We study hereditary properties of convexity for planar harmonic homeomorphisms on a disk and an annulus. A noteworthy class of examples with the hereditary property arises fromenergy-minimal diffeomorphismsof an annulus, whoseex- istence was established in (9,11).

A scalable densification strategy is proposed by incorporating sucrose into a fluoropolymer matrix to build a robust hydrogen‐bond crosslinking network. The intermolecular interactions effectively facilitate polar phase transformation and reduce free volume fraction.

Convexity properties of harmonic measures
Let \(U\) be an open set in \(\mathbb{R}^d,d\geq 2\) and let \(E\) be a Borel set on the boundary of \(U\). Let \(u\) be the harmonic function in \(U\) with \(u=\chi_E\) on \(\partial U\). For \(x\in U\), we set \(\mu_x^U(E)=u(x)\). As a function of \(E\), \(\mu_x^U\) is a Borel measure on \(\partial U\) called the harmonic measure of \(E\).

ABSTRACT In current dynamic time history assessment protocols, ground motion recordings are mostly oriented along fixed sensor directions. Consequently, the orientation of the principal resultant of rupture energy, which may control the maximum structural demand, remains undefined, precluding consistent correlation with physically detrimental ...

Fractional Hermite–Hadamard type inequalities for interval-valued functions
We introduce the concept of interval harmonically convex functions. By using two different classes of convexity, we get some further refinements for interval fractional Hermite–Hadamard type inequalities. Also, some examples are presented.
