Algorithmic Design of Disordered Networks With Arbitrary Coordination: Application to Biophotonics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Predictive Design of Disordered Networks: Disordered network‐like morphologies are abundant in nature, from cytoskeletal networks to bone structures and chalcogenide glasses. These structures are naturally hard to characterize. A new algorithmic tool extends the established Wooten–Weaire–Winer (WWW) algorithm to valencies above 4.

Relationships between electroencephalographic spectral peaks across frequency bands

open access: yesFrontiers in Human Neuroscience, 2013
The degree to which electroenencephalographic (EEG) spectral peaks are independent, and the relationships between their frequencies have been debated. A novel fitting method was used to determine peak parameters in the range 2–35 Hz from a large sample ...

Event by event di-hadron correlations in Pb-Pb 2.76 TeV collisions from the ALICE experiment

open access: yes, 2013
The large multiplicities at the LHC may permit flow harmonics to be determined on an event by event basis in Pb-Pb collisions. We extract these harmonics from event by event di-hadron correlations.

A Mechanistic Blueprint for Fast, High‐Yield Green Scintillators Using Conjugated Polymer–Nanocrystal Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Conjugated polymer–nanocrystal composites are investigated to develop fast, high‐yield green scintillators. The polymer F8BT enables efficient, ultrafast emission, while blends with non‐emitting HfO2 nanocrystals and luminescent CdZnS/ZnS quantum dots reveal distinct sensitization mechanisms.

MXene/PEDOT Functional Coatings on Flexible Microelectrode Arrays for Multianalyte In Vivo Neurochemical Sensing and Electrophysiology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A MXene/PEDOT coating enables multimodal functionality and dual‐analyte detection of dopamine and serotonin in flexible microelectrode arrays while enhancing electrophysiological recording quality. The anti‐fouling, low‐impedance interface overcomes key limitations of conventional coatings, providing a robust and versatile platform to investigate the ...
