Exciton Binding Energy of Phosphorescent Emitter Molecules in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Energy level alignment is key to efficient OLED design, yet determining LUMO energies remains challenging. A methodology based on field‐induced dissociation and kinetic Monte Carlo simulations is presented to extract LUMO energies of iridium‐based phosphorescent emitters from their exciton binding energy.

Processing of harmonics in the lateral belt of macaque auditory cortex

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2014
Many speech sounds and animal vocalizations contain components, referred to as complex tones, that consist of a fundamental frequency (F0) and higher harmonics. In this study we examined single-unit activity recorded in the core (A1) and lateral belt (LB)

Development of a Three‐Axis Planar Hall Magnetoresistance Sensor Using a Superparamagnetic Nanoparticle‐Based Flux Guide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A printed superparamagnetic nanoparticle‐based flux guide enables the realization of a hysteresis‐free three‐axis magnetic sensor. This innovative architecture efficiently redirects out‐of‐plane fields to planar sensing elements, facilitating simultaneous vector detection without complex reset protocols.

Improvement in second harmonics linearization technique for multichannel amplifiers

open access: yes, 2003
A linearization technique that uses the injection of the fundamental signal second harmonics together with the fundamental signals at the amplifier input has been improved in this paper by introducing phase correction of the fundamental signals according

On harmonic and asymptotically harmonic Finsler manifolds

open access: yesAnnals of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University - Mathematics
In the present paper we introduce and investigate some types of harmonic Finsler manifolds and find out the interrelation between them. We give some characterizations of such spaces in terms of the Finsler mean curvature of geodesic spheres and the Finsler Laplacian of the distance function induced by the Finsler metric.

Copper–Collagen Interactions Regulate the Mechanical and Invasive Properties of Tumor Spheroids

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic copper is investigated as a modulator of tumor spheroid growth and invasiveness in a 3D microfluidic glioblastoma model. Copper exposure alters metabolic activity, cytoskeletal organization, protrusion dynamics, and EMT‐related phenotypes in a dose‐ and timing‐dependent manner, revealing how copper bioavailability shapes tumor aggressiveness ...

A Data Driven Review of In Vitro Electrical and Mechanical Stimulation for Post‐Acute Phase Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how in vitro electrical and mechanical stimulation modulates wound healing in fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Analyzing over 560 experimental data points, we relate stimulation parameters to proliferation and migration outcomes, evaluate platform designs, and highlight the need for multi‐parameter optimization to advance targeted ...
