Fluid Injection Optimization Using Modified Global Dynamic Harmony Search [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Oil & Gas Science and Technology, 2013
One of the mostly used enhanced oil recovery methods is the injection of water or gas under pressure to maintain or reverse the declining pressure in a reservoir. Several parameters should be optimized in a fluid injection process.

Mayfly in Harmony: A New Hybrid Meta-Heuristic Feature Selection Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Feature selection is a process to reduce the dimension of a dataset by removing redundant features, and to use the optimal subset of features for machine learning or data mining algorithms.

Apple Image Recognition Multi-Objective Method Based on the Adaptive Harmony Search Algorithm with Simulation and Creation

open access: yesInformation, 2018
Aiming at the low recognition effect of apple images captured in a natural scene, and the problem that the OTSU algorithm has a single threshold, lack of adaptability, easily caused noise interference, and over-segmentation, an apple image recognition ...

An enhanced adaptive global‐best harmony search algorithm for continuous optimization problems

open access: yesEngineering Reports, 2020
This paper presents an enhanced adaptive global‐best harmony search (EAGHS) to solve global continuous optimization problems. The global‐best HS (GHS) is one of the strongest versions of the classical HS algorithm that hybridizes the concepts of swarm ...

Using the Cuckoo Optimization to Initialize the Harmony Memory in Harmony Search Algorithm to Find New Hybrid (CSHS) Algorithm

open access: yesUHD Journal of Science and Technology
The current paper seeks to present a hybrid harmony search algorithm, using CS and HS. The proposed algorithm takes advantage of using a method to initialize the harmony memory (HM) with the help of the cuckoo search optimization algorithm.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
