Tunable Applicator for Microneedle‐Based Medical Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This paper presents a simple, low‐cost tunable applicator (TAPP) for microneedle array patches that uses a material‐agnostic controlled‐fracture mechanism to ensure reliable skin penetration and uniform array engagement. The scalable, modular design is compatible with injection molding and 3D printing, can be integrated directly into patches, and is ...

Data‐Driven Bulldozer Blade Control for Autonomous Terrain Leveling

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A simulation‐driven framework for autonomous bulldozer leveling is presented, combining high‐fidelity terramechanics simulation with a neural‐network‐based reduced‐order model. Gradient‐based optimization enables efficient, low‐level blade control that balances leveling quality and operation time.

The PLANES study: a protocol for a randomised controlled feasibility study of the placental growth factor (PlGF) blood test-informed care versus standard care alone for women with a small for gestational age fetus at or after 32 + 0 weeks’ gestation

open access: yesPilot and Feasibility Studies, 2020
Background Stillbirth remains a major concern across the globe and in some high-resource countries, such as the UK; efforts to reduce the rate have achieved only modest reductions.

Chronic Hypoxia Disrupts Spermatogenesis Through ASXL2–EZH2–Mediated Microtubule Destabilization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the mechanism by which chronic hypoxia impairs spermatogenesis via the ASXL2–EZH2 axis, hindering the transition of spermatids from round to elongated forms. Key findings reveal that under hypoxic conditions, downregulated ASXL2 expression reduces EZH2 binding to the CEP162 promoter, leading to decreased H3K27me3 modification and ...

Immune response against antibiotic-resistant and antibiotic-sensitive staphylococcus aureus in a rat model of implant infection

open access: yesScientific Reports
Little is known about the in-vivo dynamics of biofilms associated with medical-device infections and their interplay with systemic inflammation, local immune responses, and tissue healing processes.

Adhiyajña: Towards a Performance Grammar of the Vedas

open access: yesReligions, 2019
Recent scholarship has challenged the anachronistic projection of the modern category of the poem onto premodern texts. This article attempts to theorize how one might construct an alternative to modern conceptualizations of “the poem” that ...

Strawberry Notch 1 Acts as a Transcriptional Regulator Driving Oncogenic Programs in Liver Carcinogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports that SBNO1 protein is upregulated in several cancer entities. SBNO1 protein interacts with the basal transcription factor TFIID via TAF4, enabling its recruitment to transcription start sites and the modulation of target gene expression.

Synergistic use of anti-inflammatory ketorolac and gentamicin to target staphylococcal biofilms

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine
Background While antibiotics remain our primary tools against microbial infection, increasing antibiotic resistance (inherent and acquired) is a major detriment to their efficacy.

Cellular Snowballing: Cell Adhesion and Migration Drive the Self‐Assembly of Cell‐Microgel Biohybrid Spheroids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new class of biohybrid spheroids is engineered through the self‐assembly of adherent cells and extracellular matrix‐mimetic hydrogel microparticles (microgels). By mimicking a snowballing effect, this approach enables scalable formation of porous, millimeter‐scale spheroids with enhanced cell viability and molecular diffusion.

Transcendence Un-Extra-Ordinaire: Bringing the Atheistic I Down to Earth

open access: yesReligions, 2016
I examine challenges to images of a personal god definitive for normatively policed theism (often called “traditional theism”), questioning whether a subject can be conscious of a transcendent being.
