Synthesis and Optical Properties of Diboron Complexes of 1,4‐Anthraquinone Derivatives

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
1,4‐Diboron complexes exhibit near‐infrared fluorescence, in contrast to non‐emissive 1,5‐diboron analogues. Fluorescence quantum yields decrease with increasing electron‐donating substituents, attributed to enhanced nonradiative decay via intramolecular PeT.

Substituent‐Dependent Structural Trends in Thermal Condensation of Silanetriols and Disiloxanetetraols

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We report a catalyst‐ and solvent‐free thermal condensation route to oligosilsesquioxanes from arylsilanetriols and disiloxanetetraols. Phenyl and 1‐naphthyl systems form ladder‐like structures, while 2‐naphthyl systems yields layered architectures.

Synthesis of the Phospha‐Wittig Reagent Me3P = P(C2F5) and Generation of a Phospanyl‐Wittig Derivative Me3P = C(CF3)P(C2F5)F

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The first example of a simple alkylated phosphinidene‐adduct (“phospha‐Wittig”) is reported. The synthesis of Me3PPC2F5 was enabled through reaction of the cyclotetraphosphane (PC2F5)4 with PMe3. The phosphanyl‐functionalized Wittig reagent Me3PC(CF3)P(C2F5)F was prepared by treating the diphosphane P2(C2F5)4 with PMe3.

Syntheses and Properties of Pentafluoroethylplumbanes in the Oxidation States +II, +III, and +IV

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Syntheses of pentafluoroethyl substituted plumbanes in the formal oxidation states +II, +III, and +IV are reported. The compounds were characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, including 207Pb NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and single‐crystal x‐ray diffraction experiments. ABSTRACT Mono‐, bis‐, and tris(pentafluoroethyl)plumbanes of the type

Electroosmotic Pressure-Driven Flow through a Slit Micro-Channel with Electric and Magnetic Transverse Field

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2019
In the present study, flow through two-dimensional microchannel under an axial electric field, transverse electric and magnetic fields and with axial pressure gradient has been investigated numerically.

Structure and Dynamics of Porin Loops in Asymmetric Outer Membranes of E. coli

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
What are loops of membrane proteins doing within the oligosaccharide coat of cells? This structurally unexplored space is studied by solid‐state NMR, with the outer membrane protein G (OmpG) embedded in asymmetric E. coli outer membrane (OM) vesicles as a paradigmatic example.

The Price of Circularity: Exploring the Determinants of Consumer Willingness to Pay

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The transition towards a circular economy (CE) requires not only technological and organisational innovation but also consumer engagement in adopting circular products. A key driver of this process is consumers' stated willingness to pay (WTP) a premium, which remains constrained by psychological, perceptual and contextual barriers.

Developing Sustainable Innovations for Planet, Profits—And People: Mixed‐Methods Insights From the Textile Industry

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainable innovations are increasingly recognized as promising avenues for businesses to tackle global sustainability challenges, expected to deliver ecological, social, and economic benefits. Yet social outcomes at the individual level remain underexplored, raising questions about whether such innovations fully realize their sustainability ...
