Synthesis and Optical Properties of Diboron Complexes of 1,4‐Anthraquinone Derivatives
Chemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.1,4‐Diboron complexes exhibit near‐infrared fluorescence, in contrast to non‐emissive 1,5‐diboron analogues. Fluorescence quantum yields decrease with increasing electron‐donating substituents, attributed to enhanced nonradiative decay via intramolecular PeT.

Chemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.We report a catalyst‐ and solvent‐free thermal condensation route to oligosilsesquioxanes from arylsilanetriols and disiloxanetetraols. Phenyl and 1‐naphthyl systems form ladder‐like structures, while 2‐naphthyl systems yields layered architectures.

Chemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.The first example of a simple alkylated phosphinidene‐adduct (“phospha‐Wittig”) is reported. The synthesis of Me3PPC2F5 was enabled through reaction of the cyclotetraphosphane (PC2F5)4 with PMe3. The phosphanyl‐functionalized Wittig reagent Me3PC(CF3)P(C2F5)F was prepared by treating the diphosphane P2(C2F5)4 with PMe3.
