A Gapless Post-quantum Hash Proof System in the Hamming Metric

open access: yes, 2023
A hash proof system (HPS) is a form of implicit proof of membership to a language. Out of the very few existing post-quantum HPS, most are based on languages of ciphertexts of code-based or lattice-based cryptosystems and inherently suffer from a gap ...

Attribute-Based Hash Proof System Under Learning-With-Errors Assumption in Obfuscator-Free and Leakage-Resilient Environments

IEEE Systems Journal, 2017
Node attributes such as MAC and IP addresses, and even GPS position, can be considered as exclusive identity in the distributed networks such as cloud computing platform, wireless body area networks, and Internet of Things. Nodes can exchange or transmit some important information in the networks.

Recursion over Public-Coin Interactive Proof Systems; Faster Hash Verification [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2023 ACM SIGSAC Conference on Computer and Communications Security, 2023
SNARK is a well-known family of cryptographic tools that is increasingly used in the field of computation integrity at scale. In this area, multiple works have introduced SNARK-friendly cryptographic primitives: hashing, but also encryption and ...

Related Key Secure PKE from Hash Proof Systems

IACR Cryptol. ePrint Arch., 2014
In this paper we propose a framework for constructing public key encryption against related key attacks from hash proof systems in the standard model. Compared with the construction of Wee (PKC2012), our framework avoids the use of one-time signatures. We show that the schemes presented by Jia et al. (ProvSec2013) could fit into our framework.

Hash Proof System Based on Lattice

International Journal of Advancements in Computing Technology, 2012
We present a hash proof systems (HPS)based on hard lattice problems including learning with error (LWE) and inhomogeneous small integer solution (ISIS). Different from the HPS in past, ours is with error. That is to say, the deterministic private evaluation algorithm is not always equivalent to the deterministic public evaluation algorithm.

Salted hashes for message authentication - proof of concept on tiny embedded systems

2014 IEEE Symposium on Intelligent Embedded Systems (IES), 2014
Intelligent embedded systems become more and more widespread. Especially in the field of smart environments, such as smart homes, the systems are communicating with each other. If wireless communication is used, security becomes important. This paper explores to what extent salted hashes might be used on tiny embedded systems to provide message ...
