Schistosoma mansoni: Egg Morphology and Hatchability
The Journal of Parasitology, 1989Schistosoma mansoni eggs were isolated and staged microscopically according to size. The eggs were then allowed to hatch and were reexamined; the hatching percentage of mature eggs was calculated. The results show clearly that not only do immature eggs not hatch, but also mature eggs greater than 160 microns fail to hatch.

Hatchability of Hen Eggs and Lymphomatosis
Nature, 1954IT is widely accepted that poor hatchability is one of the main causes of financial loss to poultry breeders. Judging from the results regularly reported by many large hatcheries, the national hatching-rate of all eggs set in Great Britain seems to be between 65 and 70 per cent.

Riboflavin increases the hatchability of eggs
Poultry and Chicken Products, 2022The study of the possibility of introducing biologically active substances into an incubation egg is an urgent task today. According to the results of a study conducted on eggs of quails of the Omsk breed it was found that the aerosol treatment of eggs on the 13.5 day of incubation with 0.03% riboflavin solution allows to increase the hatchability of ...

Factors Affecting Hatchability
2002Numerous factors have pronounced influence on the hatchability of chicken eggs. Many of these are important long before the eggs are placed in the incubator. For example, breeder flock health, nutrition, breed, age of breeders, and breeder flock management can result in tremendous variation in hatchability.
