Multi‐Head Convolution Module With Dynamic Feature Fusion for Medical Image Segmentation

open access: yesIET Image Processing, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This article combines CNN and Transformer to propose a multi‐head mixed channel convolution and DFA module, which enhances the extraction and fusion of multi‐scale features. Used on three publicly available datasets, the results showed better performance than state‐of‐the‐art models.

A Novel Distance‐Based Metric for Quality Assessment in Image Segmentation

open access: yesIET Image Processing, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
In this paper, we introduce the surface consistency coefficient (SCC$\mathrm{SCC}$), a novel distance‐based quality metric that quantifies the spatial distribution of errors based on their proximity to the surface of the structure. Through a rigorous analysis using synthetic data and real segmentation results, and comparison with established metrics ...

Understanding Cueing Strategies for Gait Impairments in Parkinson's Disease: Protocol of the Multicenter UNITE‐PD Study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 63, Issue 2, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Gait impairments impact independence and quality of life of persons with Parkinson's disease (PD). The application of external and internal cueing strategies can improve gait, but not every person benefits equally from the same strategy. It remains unclear (i) which patient characteristics mediate cueing efficacy, (ii) how cueing efficacy ...

Neuromodulation of Cortical Targets in Freezing of Gait

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 63, Issue 2, January 2026.
Above is a graphical representation of a systematic approach to evaluate the role of cortical regions in the development of FOG using neuromodulation. Systematic neuromodulation of cortical targets can inform whether these network changes are primary (causal) or secondary. (A) In this example rTMS is focused on the engagement of cortical brain regions (

Dynamically Consistent Analysis of Realized Covariations in Term Structure Models

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 203-236, January 2026.
ABSTRACT In this article, we show how to analyze the covariation of bond prices nonparametrically and robustly, staying consistent with a general no‐arbitrage setting. This is, in particular, motivated by the problem of identifying the number of statistically relevant factors in the bond market under minimal conditions.
