Phloem in the haustorium of Castilleja (Scrophulariaceae)
Canadian Journal of Botany, 1971This note documents for the first time the presence of phloem in the haustorium of Castilleja sulphurea Rydb. From electron microscope studies the phloem was found to occur in the internal portion of the endophyte and on the periphery adjacent to cortical cells of the host.
