Penetration enhancement effects of topically applied crosslinked hyaluronic acid
Cross‐linked hyaluronic acid (HA) was demonstrated to enhance the topical delivery of a variety of hydrophilic actives into the skin. This phenomenon was observed for both small molecules and macromolecules, the latter of which was analysed with MALDI mass spectrometry imaging (MALDI‐MSI).
