Re-employment Probabilities and Wage Offer Function for Russian Labor Market [PDF]

open access: yes
This research addresses labor market transformation in Russia. It elaborates on the theory of job search and focuses on the following issues: (1) evaluation of the re-employment probabilities (hazard rates) for different socio-economic groups; and (2 ...

Empirical Hazard Function Using Continuous-Time Failure Data

open access: yes, 2014
A theoretically sound and accurate empirical hazard function may be used directly for analysis of lifetime distribution of the continuous-time failure data or can be used as a basis for further parametric modeling analysis in asset management.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Use of Hazard Function for Signal Detection on Ionograms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
© 2004-2012 IEEE. This letter considers a new method for sample detection of ionospheric propagation modes at the receiver output of a chirp ionosonde. The method is based on the use of the hazard function.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Decentralized International Risk Sharing and Governmental Moral Hazard

open access: yes
This paper studies the issue of moral hazard in the presence of decentralized international risk sharing. In the model presented, risk sharing is achieved through macro markets (markets in which claims to the GDP of a country can be traded).Moral hazard ...

The Availability of Systems with Bathtub Hazard Rate Function

open access: yes, 2018
In our normal life we can see that the most realistic systems possess useful time governed by hazard rateof bathtub shaped. The hazard rate function, however, plays a vital role in the computation of theavailability function.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Estimator Wavelet Untuk Fungsi Hazard = Wavelet Estimator for the Hazard Function

open access: yes, 1999
The works of Aalen (1978) showed that the hazard function (h) estimation for censored life test data can be described in the context of inference for a counting process (N) multiplicative intensity model given by X(t) = h(t)Y(t) where Y(t) is a ...

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...
