scRiskCell: A single‐cell framework for quantifying islet risk cells and their adaptive dynamics in type 2 diabetes

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
scRiskCell is an interpretable intelligent computational framework that leverages nearly 500,000 islet cell expression profiles from 106 donors across different continuous disease states. By calculating the intrinsic relationship between donor disease states and cell expression profiles, it assigns a pseudo‐cell state index to each cell.

Racing toward the future of chronic hepatitis B management: Achieving functional cure and enhancing hepatocellular carcinoma surveillance through precision medicine

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Novel biomarker emergence plays a critical role in improving CHB management. Advances in sensitive detection methods, AI, and large‐scale data platforms have independently contributed to biomarkers while driving the development of multi‐omics approaches.

Plasma Nerve Growth Factor Is Associated With Early Postoperative Shoulder Stiffness in Patients With Degenerative Rotator Cuff Tears

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Flowchart of the clinical workflow. ABSTRACT Objective This study was to investigate the correlation between plasma nerve growth factor (NGF) and postoperative range of motion (ROM) in patients with rotator cuff tears (RCT). Methods From January 2022 to March 2024, a total of 135 patients with degenerative RCT were included.

Mitochondrial tRNAGlu 14687A>G May Be A Novel Mutation for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
We identified a novel mitochondrial tRNAGlu 14687A>G mutation in a Han Chinese pedigree with diabetes; the m.14687A>G mutation occurred at a conserved nucleotide of tRNAGlu, which was important for tRNA structure and function. Using a cybrid cell model, we found that mutant cells exhibited much more severe mitochondrial dysfunctions than control cells,

Age Estimation From Blood Test Results Using a Random Forest Model

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
From the perspective of preventive medicine, it is essential to clarify the relationship between medical examination data and aging and health problems. We successfully and accurately estimated age from clinical examination data using a random forest model. Postmenopausal women tended to have higher age estimates than premenopausal women.
