Abatacept is second to rituximab at risk of HBsAg reverse seroconversion in patients with rheumatic disease

Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, 2021
Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) reverse seroconversion (RS) can happen in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with resolved hepatitis B (RHB) undergoing biological disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (bDMARDs). But the incidence and risk factors need to be delineated. From 2003 to 2019, 1937 patients with RA with available HBsAg and antibody ...

A New Reversed Passive Hemagglutination Test for Detection of HBsAg

Vox Sanguinis, 1975
Abstract. A new reversed passive hemagglutination test for HBsAg, termed Raphadex B, has been developed using immunochemically purified chimpanzee anti‐HBs bound to stabilized human erythrocytes. The test has been found to have equivalent sensitivity to the Ausria 125I radioimmunoassay, and detected a similar number of HBsAg‐containing specimens in ...

Detection of HBsAg in blood donorsA comparative study using radioimmunoassay, enzymeimmunoassay. Reverse passive haemagglutination and latex test

Revue Francaise de Transfusion et Immuno-hématologie, 1981
Several "third generation" tests were compared: 5 reverse passive haemagglutination methods (RPHA), 2 enzyme immunoassays (EIA), 1 radioimmunoassay (RIA) and 1 latex test. As far as the sensitivity is concerned RPHA techniques are less sensitive than the RIA. However, differences exist among the different RPHA methods.

Detection of HBV RNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells in patients with and without HBsAg by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction

Hepatology Research, 2000
We examined RNA of hepatitis B virus (HBV) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) by the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR) in 61 patients associated with HBV infection, in order to analyze the relationship between the transcriptional activity of HBV in PBMCs and the clinical characteristics.

[Experience with the use of a commercial immunoglobulin diagnostic agent for determining HBsAg in the reverse passive hemagglutination reaction under the conditions of Central Asia].

Laboratornoe delo, 1989
Use of twice-distilled water or addition of normal equine serum, preheated at 56 degrees C for 30 min and adsorbed with an adsorbent from the diagnostic kit, to normal saline (1 ml of serum per 100 ml of the saline) helps eliminate spontaneous agglutination of the tested diagnosticum during the detection of HBsAg with the use of reverse passive ...

2020
36 ÖZET Bu çalışmada Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi İbni Sina Hastanesi Kan Merkezine başvuran, sağlıklı, sanlık ve kan transfüzyon hikayesi olmayan 1553 kan donöründe HBs Ag taşıyıcılığı, RPHA ve ELIS A yöntemleri ile araştırılmıştır. Kan donörlerinde, RPHA ve % 6.63 (103/1553) ve ELISA ile % 7.28 (113/1553) oranında HBsAg taşıyıcılığı saptanmıştır.
