Efficacy of high‐frequency low‐dose rituximab and acalabrutinib in chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesHemaSphere, Volume 10, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Anti‐CD20 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are effective but not curative treatment for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). To study rituximab efficacy, we examined serial blood samples from CLL patients receiving initial monotherapy with high‐frequency low‐dose (HFLD) rituximab for 1 week followed by the addition of acalabrutinib.

Why Does Runoff From Some Catchments Not Recover After a Prolonged Drought?

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 7, July 2026.
This study investigates the hydrological non‐stationarity in the Victorian state of Australia, using water balance analysis and a modelling experiment with observed hydroclimate and remotely sensed data over 1982–2020 from 120 catchments. The hydrological non‐stationarity is much more significant in North‐West Victoria.

Metabolome analysis identified exogenous cholesterol within lipid rafts that activate the Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in epithelial ovarian cancer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 1, Page 257-268, 1 July 2026.
What's New? Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is a severe malignancy with few effective treatment options. While the mechanisms remain unclear, changes in lipid metabolism may fuel tumor growth and EOC progression, offering a possible path for new treatments.

Decoding Biothreats With FT‐ICR‐MS: Metabotyping of Bacillus cereus Spores Through Untargeted Metabolomics

open access: yesJournal of Mass Spectrometry, Volume 61, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Genome sequencing is the gold standard for microbial identification. However, it fails to distinguish closely related species with overlapping genetic features. This is the case of Bacillus cereus and Bacillus cytotoxicus, two members of the B. cereus group with distinct pathogenic profiles. While B. cereus, a well‐known opportunistic pathogen
