Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly prevalent and lethal neoplasia, the management of which has significantly improved during the last few years. A better knowledge of the natural history of the tumor and the development of staging systems that stratify patients according to the characteristics of the tumor, the liver disease, and the ...

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the fifth most common cancer worldwide with increasing incidence in the Western World. In contrast to most other malignancies, only surgical and local ablative therapeutic options have shown efficacy in patients with HCC. Systemic chemotherapy has failed to show a substantial benefit for these patients.

Imaging techniques play a crucial role in the management of patients with liver cirrhosis in whom a nodular hepatic lesion is detected. The most severe complication of patients with liver cirrhosis is the development of a hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and the prognosis of the disease depends on the tumoral stage.

Primary liver cancer is the fifth most common malignancy worldwide and the third leading cause of cancer mortality. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is the most common cause of chronic liver disease in the United States encompassing a spectrum of entities marked by hepatic steatosis in the absence of significant alcohol consumption.

In this poster, we develop a novel method, called HCC, for hierarchical co-clustering. HCC brings together two interrelated but distinct themes from clustering: hierarchical clustering and co-clustering. The goal of the former theme is to organize clusters into a hierarchy that facilitates browsing and navigation, while the goal of the latter theme is ...

Racial/ethnic and region disparities in incidence and mortality are obviously in liver cancer. Mongolia has the highest reported incidence and mortality of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in the world, while the incidence of HCC is relatively low in the United States, but differences in their molecular characteristics remain largely elusive.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most frequently diagnosed tumour diseases throughout the world. In the vast majority of cases those affected are high-risk patients with chronic viral hepatitis and/or liver cirrhosis, which means there is a clearly identifiable target group for HCC screening.
