Intratumor heterogeneity in HCC
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the second most common cause of cancer-related death worldwide [1], generally arising on the background of chronic liver diseases such as chronic viral hepatitis, alcohol-induced liver injury, or fatty liver disease. So far, classification proposals for HCC based on molecular markers are not yet routinely applied in ...

This study introduces a synergistic S‐O conformation locking and alkoxy chain engineering strategy to enhance S‐D‐A‐D‐S molecular planarity. The engineered IR‐BTOG achieves concurrent NIR‐IIa absorption and NIR‐IIb emission, demonstrating exceptional photothermal efficiency and fluorescence quantum yield.

Prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. Validation and ranking of established staging-systems in a large western HCC-cohort. [PDF]
HCC is diagnosed in approximately half a million people per year, worldwide. Staging is a more complex issue than in most other cancer entities and, mainly due to unique geographic characteristics of the disease, no universally accepted staging system ...

This study identifies SPTAN1‐kla as a novel oncogenic driver in HBV‐driven HCC, linking metabolic, epigenetic, and immune mechanisms. SPTAN1‐kla promotes HCC progression via NOTCH1/HES1 activation and immunosuppression. Findings highlight that targeting SPTAN1‐kla provides a framework for HCC treatment to improve clinical outcomes in HBV infected ...

Diagnostic imaging for hepatocellular carcinoma [PDF]
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) occurs mostly in individuals with cirrhosis, which is why the guidelines of the most important scientific societies indicate that these patients are included in surveillance programs through the repetition of an ultrasound ...

METTL1 and its mediated m7G tRNA modification are significantly up‐regulated after partial hepatectomy (PHx). Overexpression of METTL1 improves the efficiency of liver regeneration after PHx, increases the proliferation of hepatocytes, and accelerates the recovery of liver function.
