Impact of Processing Parameters on the Morphology and Performance of PE/PA6/EVOH Blends
Precise processing conditions enable the utilization of all components in multilayer films, resulting in improved morphology and mechanical properties. ABSTRACT This study employs a stepwise approach to investigate the influence of processing conditions and blend composition on the morphology and mechanical properties of immiscible polymer blends.

Schematic overview of the upcycling of industrial LDPE waste via fused deposition modeling (FDM). ABSTRACT This study explores the potential of additive manufacturing (AM) to upcycle industrial waste low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) by investigating the effect of LDPE waste's melt flow index (MFI) on the printability of LDPE/polystyrene (PS) blends via ...

Natural Antioxidants as Thermal Stabilizers in Fully Biobased PHBV Compounds
Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) are promising biobased polymers but degrade easily under heat and oxygen. This study examines PHBV with natural antioxidants to enhance thermal stability during processing. Results show regenerative additives prevent degradation and the effectiveness is comparable to that of synthetic additives.

Pollution to Solution: Understanding and Addressing Microplastic Contamination in the Environment
ABSTRACT In general, plastic pollution results from the unintentional release of macroplastic materials into the environment as well as the deliberate production and usage of small plastic particles (micro‐ and nano‐sized plastic particles) in a variety of consumer products micro and nanoplastics in filtrate freshwater and marine environments because ...

Metals' Adsorption Onto Environmental Microplastics at Shoreline Sediments
ABSTRACT This study assessed trace element concentrations and microplastic (MP) contamination in three sandy beaches on the southern coast of Ilha Grande (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Environmental MPs were manually extracted from sand samples, and beaches were classified using the microplastic pollution index (MPPI).

Role of the modifications at the interface in glass fiber reinforced composites for damage monitoring. ABSTRACT Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers (GFRPs) are widely used in structural applications but degrade over time due to internal damage. Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) enables early damage detection, improving reliability and reducing maintenance
