Chloroplast Stress Signals Orchestrate Epidermis‐Specific Remodeling of Mitochondria and ER Under High Light

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High light exposure triggers an epidermis‐specific remodeling of mitochondria and ER in Arabidopsis, driven by chloroplast‐derived signals. Live‐cell imaging shows that HL rapidly suppresses mitochondrial motility, followed by fusion‐driven elongation and ER cisternal expansion.

Anti-Shake HDR Imaging Using RAW Image Data

open access: yesInformation, 2020
Camera shaking and object movement can cause the output images to suffer from blurring, noise, and other artifacts, leading to poor image quality and low dynamic range.

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Reveals PIK3CA Inhibition Enhances Lipid Nanoparticle‐Mediated siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide CRISPR screen and identifies PIK3CA as a key regulator of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) uptake is performed. Modulating PIK3CA with small‐molecule inhibitor BAY1082439 enhanced LNP uptake, siRNA delivery, and gene silencing in a variety of epithelial cells, and improved therapeutic outcomes in vivo.

Asymmetric Stereo High Dynamic Range Imaging with Smartphone Cameras

open access: yesSensors
Stereo high dynamic range imaging (SHDRI) offers a more temporally stable solution to high dynamic range (HDR) imaging from low dynamic range input images compared to bracketing and removes the loss of accuracy that single-image HDR solutions offer ...

Thermoelectric Properties of a Family of Benzodifuranone‐Based Conjugated Copolymers in Oriented Thin Films Doped Sequentially With NDMBI‐H

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Combining high polymer orientation of n‐type copolymers by temperature rubbing and sequential doping with N‐DMBI results in a strong improvement of electrical conductivity and thermoelectric power factors reaching up to 9.8 ± 1.6 S cm−1 and 8 ± 3 µW m−1.K2, respectively.

Capability of Ophthalmology Residents to Detect Glaucoma Using High-Dynamic-Range Concept versus Color Optic Disc Photography

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmology, 2017
Background. Assessment of color disc photograph (C-DP) is affected by image quality, which decreases the ability to detect glaucoma. High-dynamic-range (HDR) imaging provides a greater range of luminosity.

Enhanced Tone Mapping Using Regional Fused GAN Training with a Gamma-Shift Dataset

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
High-dynamic-range (HDR) imaging is a digital image processing technique that enhances an image’s visibility by modifying its color and contrast ranges. Generative adversarial networks (GANs) have proven to be potent deep learning models for HDR imaging.
