Projectile angular distributions in He+ + H collisions
Physica Scripta, 2023Abstract We have calculated the differential cross sections for the elastic, excitation to H(n = 2), and electron-transfer processes in He+ + H collision using a semiclassical atomic-orbital close-coupling method within two-electron treatment.

Autoionizing states of He: Projectile-velocity-dependent lifetime
Physical Review A, 2001In this work, we study the dependence of the lifetime $(\ensuremath{\tau})$ of an autoionizing state with the velocity ${(v}_{P})$ of an ionic projectile of charge Z. We use a C2 model to represent the final state of the autoionized electron in the continuum of two centers. Explicit calculations for the helium autoionizing states ${2s}^{2}{(}^{1}S),$ ${

Dissociation of CO and NO by fast H+, He+, and O+ projectiles
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1978In this work we report on studies of the dissociative ionization of CO and NO induced by 1-MeV H+, He+, and O+ projectiles. The time-energy spectroscopy (TES) technique is used to identify the dissociation fragments according to their mass-to-charge (m/q) ratios, and to record kinetic energy spectra for each fragment species. The spectra fragments with

Fragment Mass Distribution of HE Projectiles
Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, 1990AbstractThe description of the fragmcnt mass distribution according to Held is in cxcellent agreement with the experimental data. This is true in particular when the total mass, Mo. used in describing the distribution, is slightly modified in that some of the hcavicst fragments are neglected.

Projectile velocity dependence of the alignment of he-like 2P states of foil excited S projectiles
Physics Letters A, 1985Abstract The alignment of the 2P states of 32 and 105 MeV 1s2p He-like S ions excited by passage through a thin carbon foil has been determined from the ratio of the intensities of the 1s2p(2 1 P 1 )−1s 2 (1 1 S 0 ) and the 1s2p(2 3 P 1 )−1s 2 (1 1 S 0 ) lines.

Excitation of projectile Rydberg states in the collisions Be+-He and Mg+-He, 10?75 keV
Zeitschrift fr Physik A Atoms and Nuclei, 1975The collisions Be+-He and Mg+-He have been studied from 10 to 75 keV by means of optical spectrometry. Relative excitation cross sections and polarizations have been measured at 40 keV forS throughG terms with principal quantum numbern up to 10. Within a Rydberg series the excitation cross sections are found to decrease monotonically withn, and the ...

Collisions of He+- and Ne+-projectiles with He at impact energies between 90 keV and 800 keV were investigated. Relative excitation cross sections for magnetic sublevels of He—41D were determined using level-crossing techniques. Absolute excitation cross sections σm of the Zeeman-sublevels are given using He—41D cross sections from earlier measurements.

Projectile momentum spectroscopy in singly ionizing p + He collisions
Journal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, 2000We have measured the projectile momentum distributions for single ionization in 50 to 150 keV proton-helium collisions as a function of both the longitudinal and the transverse momentum component. Furthermore, we calculated these distributions using the classical trajectory Monte Carlo (CTMC) method, and found good agreement with the experimental data.

Projectile angular distribution in the single ionization of He by proton impact
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 2004We report doubly differential cross-section (DDCS) for proton impact ionization of helium at intermediate energies as a function of the scattering angle. The calculation is based on the Glauber approximation (GA). The effects of post collision interaction have been taken into account approximately.

Dissociation of CH4 by 1 MeV H+, He+, and O+ projectiles
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1978Methane is bombarded by 1 MeV H+, He+, and O+ projectiles. Kinetic-energy spectra are presented for fragment ions with integer mass-to-charge ratios of 1,2,3,4,6, and 12. The H+ and H+2 kinetic-energy spectra show well-defined structure which is indicative of two-body breakup of the CH4.
