A Head-Within-A-Head

CLINICAL NUCLEAR MEDICINE, 1998
A patient with elevated alkaline phosphatase underwent whole body bone imaging with Tc-99m methylenediphosphonate. Pelvic and lower extremity images showed typical widening and increased density along trabecular and cortical lines typical for Paget's disease. The lateral skull view is remarkable for its head-within-a-head appearance. The posterior view,

Head to head polymers. XVII: Head to head polypropylene

Monatshefte fr Chemie, 1981
Head to head polypropylene was prepared by catalytic hydrogenation of eithercis-1,4-poly(2,3-dimethylbutadiene) ortrans-1,4-poly(2,3-dimethylbutadiene) with cobalt 2-ethylhexanoate/triethylaluminium as the hydrogenation catalyst in decahydronaphthalene solution.

Head to head polymers. XXV: Properties of head to head polyisobutylene

Polymer Engineering & Science, 1983
AbstractHead‐to‐head polyisobutylene, prepared by the Grignard coupling reaction of 2,2,3,3‐tetramethyl‐1,4‐dibromobutane had molecular weight of 3,000 to 10,000 and was characterized by wide angle x‐ray diffraction, optical microscopy and thermal behavior.

Head‐to‐head polymers 27: Thermal degradation of head‐to‐head polyisobutylene [PDF]

open access: possiblePolymer Engineering & Science, 1983
AbstractHead‐to‐head polyisobutylene degrades at a maximum rate at 320°C, a temperature about 65°C lower than head‐to‐tail polyisobutylene. Under our conditions, head‐to‐tail (the regular polyisobutylene) degrades (as do many other disubstituted vinyl monomers) to a high yield of the monomer isobutylene.

Heading and Head Injuries in Soccer

Sports Medicine, 2001
In the world of sports, soccer is unique because of the purposeful use of the unprotected head for controlling and advancing the ball. This skill obviously places the player at risk of head injury and the game does carry some risk. Head injury can be a result of contact of the head with another head (or other body parts), ground, goal post, other ...

Head lice

Pesticide Outlook, 2001
Head lice can only be diagnosed by finding live lice, as eggs take 7 days to hatch and may appear viable for weeks after death of the egg. Infestation may be more likely in school children, with risks increased in children with more siblings, longer hair, and of lower socioeconomic group. We conducted a systematic review and aimed to answer the ...

Head to Head Polymers

1984
Polymers of α-olefins, vinyl and acrylic monomers consisting entirely of head to head (and tail to tail) linkages have been prepared by indirect methods. Head to head polyolefins, polypropylene and polystyrene were synthesized by 1, 4 polymerization of 2, 3-dimethyl (or diphenyl) butadiene followed by catalytic hydrogenation with soluble catalyst (Co ...

Head to Head Encounters

Oxford Art Journal, 1994
In her somewhat idiosyncratic and breath-taking whistlestop tour from Lady Wentworth's writing table (1710) on the first page of Hanging the Head to the valuable and provocative essay 'Saved from the Housekeeper's Room' on the foundation of the National Portrait Gallery (NPG) in the mid-nineteenth century (the epilogue of her book), Marcia Pointon sets
